Does young attractive woman reviewing games effect your opinion?

I'm older than 12, so no. Hell, I don't even know who writes the reviews most of the time.

That made me like Ghosts even more.

It tells you at the bottom, top or side of the page my friend. It's fairly easy to find.

Oh, I know. I just don't care enough to really know who the reviewer is. If it's a solid review, it's a solid review.

My favorite reviewer is a fat 40 year old something drunk, that likes inserting games in the wrong consoles. So no, what they look like doesn't affect my opinion. :P

Considering I tend to read reviews, or listen to them (in the case of Yahtzee), the author's appearance or gender does little to influence how I interpret their evaluation.

I doubt this my fellow. It's a fact that the majority of comedians are male with female comedians up until about the last 10-15 years seen as something as niche. Statistically, it has been proven people would rather go to see male comedians.

Well, I used to watch a lot of X-play back in the day and Morgan Webb was a chick so nah.

It's when people don't know what they're talking about that makes me cringe and try to do it for the attention.

This is a non-factor for me, although I find it irritating when someone uses sexuality as a marketing ploy.

A reviewer who appears and sounds trustworthy without any fact to the contrary would have the greatest chance of affecting my opinion via a review. Generally I prefer older reviewers. A squeaky voice, either male or female, does not portray much confidence in my mind.

@psymon100. Most can't though which is generally why the hot chick usually only reviews a game on camera with the use of a TelePrompter. Written reviews are generally by either a male or plain jane looking female.

Yes it does, but not always negatively. When a hairy 40 something fat dude reviews something however, I instantly disregard their opinion as I strongly doubt we have anything, even gaming tastes, in common

If she appears to knows what she's talking about then sure, her opinion will be weighed in with everything else, but it won't make or break my decision by itself.

I like Rev3Games videos, I mostly go there for Adam Sessler. This reviewer seems to know what she's talking about, however she comes off kind of rigid but the review is long and substantive and detailed, especially regarding the online mode, which she properly noted as being one of the stronger features of the series. I especially liked how she mentioned the maps were small but had a more vertical nature to them, which I haven't yet heard about; I heard people say they were too large actually, maybe by large they meant this (the vertical nature of them).

I didn't bother watching the rest but she seemed to know what she was talking about. The review wasn't flashy but it had good footage to accompany her talking points. I didn't feel they exploited the reviewer being a girl, they certainly didn't keep the camera on her longer than they needed to.

Honestly, it does make it hard to take them seriously. Young attractive women get so many free passes in life it's sometimes difficult to believe they put serious thought and work into anything. I realize this is a double standard, and many of them probably do work extremely hard, but that's just my perception.

Not gonna lie, hearing/seeing a woman doing a review does make me not take it seriously.

IDK what it is, but it happens too when I hear woman give a speech about serious stuff, or even when I watch something informative (scientific, political, etc). Something about a woman just makes me not even want to listen cuz for some reason I feel like she doesnt know shit and she's acting/trying too hard. Its even worst when they try to be funny.

And it has nothing to do with them being attractive or not.

For example, I thing Jess McDonal here on GS if hideous, yet for the odd unexplained reasons I gave above, I still hate her show cuz I think she's just terrible and tries way too hard to be funny.

First off, atleast shes a 9/10. These review girls are 5/10 at best. Nasty.

It does not affect my opinion on the game. Rather, I lose focus when watching the video review, they could be like "This game is crazy, it's like the best ever, there's giant unicorns shooting cupcakes out their eyes" and it'd be like "Yeah... I bet you do..."
