Does the difference between 360/PS3 multiplats really matter?

Sure maybe one version is a little inferior or superior to the other. However, its still the same game and it looks good on both consoles doesn't it? Personally, the only differences that really matter are the exclusive content like in GTA IV for example.

We could apply the same logic to exclusives, but at the end of the day it's a way for fanboys to claim ownage.

Except a small few (Bayonetta, Ghostbusters, The Orange Box) no, the difference are so little these days. Fanboys however, need the little difference to make themsleves feel better about their console.

Bayonetta and Ghostbusters matter because this far into the generation it shouldn't be happening. For the most part, no it doesn't matter at all. People get carried away with the pixel counting, I find controller preference more important.

I don't like paying full price for games that look a tad worse, so that's why most multiplats I have are for 360, with very, very few PS3 ones.

I still don't understand the point of getting a game that looks inferior in anyway shape or form, heck this list is proof why 360 has more better ones too.

Content is another factor too.

RIght on both parts. THe "PS3 is to hard" excuse is getting old since we have seen devs put out som great products and im not talking about exclusives. Just seems some devs can and cant. Its also fanboys need some way to sleep at night so pixel counting helps.

Very few multiplats have been so bad that I couldn't stand them. The Orange Box was crap, F.E.A.R. was crap, but most are good.

Some games like Bayonetta and Ghost Busters, yes. Although most are not very distinguishable

If you're talking graphics only, the difference isn't very significant. The online setup is the differentiator for me. That's why I choose 360 multiplats over PS3.

For the most part, not really. I think if you have both a 360 and a PS3 then there's usually enough of a difference to choose 360 over PS3, but in most cases it doesn't seem like you would be unsatisified if you only had a PS3.

Personally, I dont like the 360 so much. It has great games but most of them dont interests me therefore I've been playing multiplats on my 360 since I got it a year ago. However, I have always somehow prfer the old dualshock controller over the 360 controller.

To most people: No.

To somebody like me, yes unfortunately. It doesn't matter that much, but it still irks me that I'm playing the most inferior port of GTA4 on the PS3.

depends on the multiplat itself, some multiplats are pretty minor in differences, while other are clearly better or worse on said system, Like BatmanAA, I consider it to be a alot better then the 360, it goes the other way aswell, depending on games ofcourse ^^

I can tell the difference but I dont seem to care much since I prefer the PS3 controller for games like Bayonetta imo.

The differences are minimal in a lot of multiplats... however, some games like GTA4, Fallout 3, and FNR4 are all noticeably way better on 360. (I've played all 3 of these games on both consoles, btw)
