Does Microsoft/Xbox Brand Hate Anime?

Dearest Reader,

As a connoisseur in the ancient and lost art of weebs, (though the normies label our elite society of enlightened nomads with the modern term of "weeaboos") I have noticed a most distressing omen in the dark path that the Xbox Uno has taken since 2013. They seem to have an utter lack of respect and an undying hatred of anime that burns brighter each day. In Japan, our fellow anime enthusiasts have taken to voice their justified outrage with their wallets and given the Xbox poultry sales for many eons (okay, months) now.

My concern is why does Microsoft continue to deny the artistic beauty of anime and games that adopt the style of anime? Do they hate art themselves? Now, we all know that when it comes to anime games it's not about the gameplay (lol gameplay) but rather about the writing and characters. Anime has always been a shining jewel in a treasure trove of fool's gold. I can't think of many anime games on Xbox that are considered great (whereas Nintendo provides Splatoon, Breath of the Wild, soon Fire Emblem, and many more; Sony provides Sword Art Online, Gravity Rush 2, Persona 5, and many more). What is the meaning of this? Therefore, I cannot, with my good conscience, give my support to the juggernaut Microsoft though it grievously injures me to not do so.

Does Sony really cater to anime fans? I mean, sure many third party Japanese developers make games for Sony almost by default, isn't the same as to say Sony's had a hand in the line-up as much as people think. Gravity Rush games come to mind, not much else, though I can think of tons that come from third party Japanese studios/publishers.

I'm a western gamer who prefers western games. Call me a dude bro, casual all you want, but that is just what I prefer. I'm just not a fan of most Japanese games. For a person like myself, Nintendo and Sony really don't offer me much. Yeah the PS4 has UC, and Horizon, but that's not enough to keep me in your ecosystem. MS just has better offerings for me personally.

They tried with the 360, they somewhat failed; they didn't tried after that; scalebound was a good way to reach japanese developers and audience, but that didn't ended well.

The Xbone has CrunchyRoll on it, so it can't hate anime that much.

What exactly is Xbox One offering that is much better than PS4 offerings? If we ignore the anime games, what PS4 has upcoming so far is Gran Turismo Sport, Days Gone, The Last Of Us 2, God Of War, Wild, Detroit: Become Human, Spiderman and Dreams. These are just games completely exclusive to the PS4 as well so no PS3, Vita, or PC versions either. All Xbox has upcoming even if we include games shared with PC is Crackdown, Cuphead, Sea Of Thieves, Super Lucky's Tale, State Of Decay 2, and another Forza.

@PSP107: Anime isn't what makes a person a weeaboo,gotta beyond just being an anime fan. Being a weeb is about being obsessed with every aspect of japan. Meaning its culture, fashion, language, and entertainment to the point you wanna be japanese. But at the same time as much as weebs think they know about they are extremely ignorant of the culture they're obsessing over. Mixing japanese words into their speech (possibly butchering said words), really weebishness can get to the point of disrespect of the culture they're obsessed over. Honestly if they went to japan they'd find out its not what they fantasized. Sorry of this is long.

Well it certainly is an issue with Microsoft devices and one reason it does so poor in Japan. The first thing this gen that came to my mind was the timed exclusive, by MS published, D4:

1) it's an extremely niche market outside of japan from a vocal minority

2) Japan hates xbox and it sells like shit there so ...see 3

3) game devs who make those games don't make it for xbox. not worth the money

So in short it's not xbox that hates anime, it's the fact the majority of people who like it, hate xbox and therefor the devs don't bother to make an xbox version. also lol weebs

Japan is so far behind when it comes to game developers. Sure back during PS1 Japan made the best games but that was decades ago. To even compare games that are similar today just compare GT to Forza. Look how many years it even took GT to get damage. Or compare any jrpg for example to the Witcher or Fallout or Mass Effect.

Can't say for sure. PS4 and Nintendo have already captured all the otakus, weeeboos, waifus. Xbox are left with zilch!

And yet Breath of the Wild, a Japanese game, is better than any western game this generation, and the four highest rated games of the year are all Japanese.

No, I don't think that they hate it at all.

Review scores mean literally nothing in gaming and with the site we are posting on should be enough of an example. I will give an example every major Sony game on here scores higher then the average and every major Xbox game scores below the average on here. Here is an example the latest naughty Dog game scored 9.0 on here but but 8.4 metacritic, halo Wars 2 scored 6 here but 7.9 on Meta Critic. I could list a lot more if needed. Mind you I am talking big titles and not their indie games.

As far as the game no one talks about breath of wild, ever. Fallout, Witcher, Mass Effect for example are games that are talked about for years.

One of the reasons why the Xbox is so irrelevant now. Japanese devs are simply kicking ass this gen and the Xbox is missing practically one of the best gens for Japanese devs ever completely. Missing so many future classics is a crime.

If MS wont provide exclusives to their Xbox or at least some sort of time exclusives like im calling out on that matter for quite a while , Xbox is doomed in last place and will do .. shit compared to competition till the end of this gen.

No I was just pointing out several people are saying stupid stuff. Hey enjoy what you want but you know the truth. Japan is VERY FAR behind western devs. You may be blinded now but if you let bias go and compared the big Japanese games to the big Western games you would admit there is a HUGE gap in everything.
