Does KZ:SF's visuals impress any of you PC guys?

I know there will always be some of you PC elitists that will have something negative to say about console games, but there has to be some of you that have to admit these visuals look pretty darn good on a $400 console.

Yeah, the game looks great, no doubt about that.

If I were a console gamer, I'd be pretty awed at the jump in visual quality compared to 360 and PS3 standards.

I love the colors, that's what really sticks out.

Visuals? Yes, 60FPS in MP? Yes, gameplay? No.

Not of Killzone but a different game that looks like a mix of Zelda and minecraft.

You have to play it first before giving an opinion about Gameplay.

Its KZ. Gameplay will be the same.

Not exactly. In this day and age, it's entirely possible to make an educated decision based on promotional material, especially when it comes to highly anticipated games with huge marketing campaigns.

I'm not a Cow. I own all three current gen consoles and I most likely will own all three next-gen consoles.

Technically...it's not that great. Artistically, it's pretty. I'm glad they fixed the color palette some from previous games. However, a beastly pc has seen technically better visuals for a few years now.

The best part about this new gen of consoles is the jump pc gaming will make as the base is improved from 360/ps3 so much. Memory has been holding those systems, and thus most pc games, back for a long time!

I'm impressed even though I game on PC and have been getting great graphics for a while now. Other than Crysis 3 and BF4 not many games look as great as it does. It's easily the best looking game on consoles and is a great leap from current gen consoles.

Only launch games that have impressed me are NBA 2K14 and Ryse. Killzone, BF4, Forza and the like all look kinda meh. I think Second Son will blow everything away though.

I'm assuming that you're referring to the campaign when you describe it as linear. Well, the last time I checked, most people don't play FPS games for the campaigns but for the multiplayer.

Obviously, that wasn't the point of my thread. I know PC's have been offering some really impressive visuals for sometime now, but I'm just saying that I highly doubt you could build a $400 PC that could run that level of fidelity.

Particle effects and lighting are hiding terrible textures, so not that impressed. I'm not a "pc elitist," but it's pretty obvious.

Yes. It's a very good looking title. Good art style, use of lighting, and great particle effects. The end result is impressive.

Youtube videos and small gifs is not a good way of judging the graphics of of a game. For all we know it might have awful aliasing.

I actually was opportuned to play Crysis 2 and BF3 maxed on my friends alienware PC and to be honest, it did not impress me as i was hoping but yes they did look good..I dont think we would see mind blowing games on the PS4 untill after a year or two

I noticed that every type of online video playback is highly compressed and subsequently crappy in quality. Isn't there anywhere online where videos can be viewed at sublime quality?

It's really not that great of leap from last gen console wise. I can see how the PS fan's think it is because a lot of their graphically impressive games have been linear. Add a little color and it looks like a big leap but it's not.

PSN might be the best bet. Its rare for games to have uncompressed video footage available to DL on the net.

I'd like to note that I still think the gun models in Killzone 2 are the best I've ever seen, and that's after playing Crysis 3 and Battlefield 3 on PC at 1920x1080 with all settings maxed. I can't comment on Killzone 3 because I've never played it.

The game looks great but I do not think it looks better than alot of PC games, so no I am not visually impressed

Have i seen something that good. Yes the last 1-2 years with a couple of games like BF3 and the Witcher 2 ( and before some cow asks me how much my pc costed it was 650 2,5 years ago and still plays games at high settings )
