Do you think Sony will keep bringing games to the PS3 in 2014?

thats good and all but what about 2014?

Remember Sony brought us Rogue Galaxy and GoW2 AFTER the launch of PS3

I don't see it getting a huge blockbuster exclusive.

First party support for the PS2 was actually pretty decent even after the PS3's launch, so going by precedent I would assume yes. Though tbh I'm hoping not, as ultimately that'll just have them competing with themselves.

PS3 was the most powerful system of this gen. But hey the XBox was the most powerful system of 6th gen and MS support for it died RIGHT when 360 launched.

The reason for that was because MS didn't want to keep paying high fees to Nvidia.

Honestly probably not, and i wouldnt blame them. If they want to establish dominance next gen, then they need to focus on PS4 100%

The 360 should last about 12 years.

Maybe kinect games, but even kinect has been deprecated by kinect 2  Luckily RROD will give you an excuse anyways LOL

I'm sure it will stil see support like the PS1 and PS2 did before it.  But nothing really praise worthy.

After the PS3 came out, the PS2 got FFXII, GoW2 and I guess a Persona game?(I dont really know much about Persona, not sure)... those were shortly after the PS3 launch.  Everything since then, as far as I know, was meh at best.

Some support is better than no support at all, but I couldnt care less.  I'd rather just see all noteworthy titles jump to the new hardware.

Yes because, if for no other reason, PSN on PS3 will still be profitable just like XBL on 360 will be. I can see both consoles having continued support for years to come, and that's a good thing as not everybody will be running out and buying new systems any time soon. I'm one of them.

Both the 360 and PS3 have yet to get to a price point of $199 for the HDD version. I can see the 360 4gb going to $99 by middle of 2014.

Maybe, maybe not, but I suspect third parties will keep bringing them out, hell last of the releases I got for PS2 was Persona 4 at the tail end of 2008, and I think stuff still came out after that, I'm sure they'll be releasing games for it in 2014, heck maybe they'll still be making games in 2015, and heck maybe 2016.

I do not see Sony themselves bringing any more AAA budget games. Maybe they will keep cut and pasting MLB The Show for a couple of years since that's a sports game, but I think they will wrap up whatever is already in development. There probably will be a few things that roll into 2014, but after that, Sony will probably be all about PS4. I think there will still be a fair number of 3rd party games in 2014 though. Seems like alot of multiplats will be going across both gens, at least for the 1st year or two. Not that these games will be worth buying on PS3/360, but they will be there.

Thread is about games, not price points.

Don't think 360 is getting games either. It's already dry for this entire year.  Maybe 1 more for the holiday, but that's it.

After that it will just get ported multiplats for 1 year just like PS3. But that won't last long. 2014 will slow to a trickle of multiplats. 2015 both 360 and PS3 will be almost dead IMO. PS3 will just have niche Japanese games left and that's it. 360 won't even have that.

Probably the small budget ones.... which is good... give ps4 all the blockbusters.
