Nintendo. Prime 4 is likely coming. A Pokemon RPG was in the financial briefing for second half of 2019. Also add Yoshi’s Crafted World, Shin Megami, and Fire Emblem.

not at all. last of us 2 looks like good looking tomb raider, days gone looks like dead island/dying light clone, dreams is another indie trash but since its PS4 exclusive it counts. if it was PC exclusive. it didnot count. death stranding wont release before 2020 and ghost of is just assassins creed clone.

I doubt a lot of the stuff on the bottom half of your list makes it in 2019 SolidGame. I hope so, I think 2017/2018 have been great, and next year is looking to be great too! For me, 2017 & now was much better. That would change however if Cyberpunk 2077, (not PS4 exclusive) Ghost of Tsushima, & The Last of Us Part II launches next year.

Most of the sony tiltes arent confirmed.Last of Us 2 and Ghots can come in 2020.

Days gone is the only one with a 2019 release date

Yes, I'm hyped for all of that (except Medievil). TLOU and Ghost had playable builds last E3. They've also been in development for a very long time (especially Ghost). I think it's likely we see them late 2019.

Hopefully Days Gone turns out alright, not sure if I'll get it. Death Stranding I'd be surprised to see in 2019.

While I am very hyped for Death Stranding and Ghosts of Tsushima I’m more hyped for Metroid Prime 4, Bayonetta 3, Yoshi’s Crafted World, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, Pokémon, etc.

I’m also more hyped for Gears of War 5.

Depends on what gets released at the end of the day. That stated they should have a really good year.

It was so much more fun when the differences between the companies was more about the system and less about the exclusives.

I'm hyped for Days Gone, TLOU, Ghosts and a possible PS5 announcement.

But I dunno ... Microsoft might be bringing us Age of Empires next year, so I'll wait and see before handing it to Sony.

Metroid Prime 4, Bayonetta 3, Luigi's Mansion 3, indies, fire emblem 3 houses,pokemon gen 8, animal crossing, yoshi crafted world other 3rd party stuff and wiiU ports.

Maybe pokemon will get the Switch to 50 mil. Doubt this is enough to get to 100 mil.

only 3 consoles in history have broken 100million. ps2,ps1 and wii

anyway, we talked about this knight. what nintendo has to do to beat sony.

lets see how nintendo does this holiday with pokemon and smash. the sales this holiday will be very telling of the future of switch. its the first console pokemon ever so lets see how it sells.

PS4 is guaranteed to hit 100 mil though, it's almost at 90 mil now and the christmas period is yet to come.

Thats quite the odd omission for a list that includes Days Gone, Dreams, and a remastered PSOne game. (Cows dont like old games)

Days Gone, Dreams, and Ghost of Tsushima aren’t the draws most here are considering them to be. TLOU2 also has a marked chance to slip into 2020 and there’s the impending debut of new game consoles/services to compete against.

Sony will do fine in 2019, but so will Microsoft. Nintendo? Hmm, don't know if the Switch can keep people's interest. It lacks many AAA multi-plats.

idk tbh but my most anticipated games are both multiplats(Kingdom Hearts III & Cyberpunk 2077)

Sony will "win"; however, the Switch seems to get more of the games that I care about. So really that is all that matters in the end. Ps4and Switch have done well for me this generation, my X-box? Not so much.

It might be interesting if Ninty get both Shin Megami and Fire Emblem in the same year with Metroid Prime (a big if that they could all hit 2019). Throw in a Mario entry that makes a 2019 window and you'd have a winner, but right now that is not announced. Even if Nintendo did something like remaster Mario Galaxy, or another 2D mario, that would count for something.

Right now it really depends on actual release dates and new announcements. Sony is probably "winning", but some games could be delayed, or some more nich-ey game could be announced and still hit 2019 release window (such as Medievil).

You're saying it's less about exclusives when PS4 is getting showered with high scoring exclusives.

Meanwhile PC and Xbox hardly have any AAA exclusives.

Days Gone was gonna launch February 2019 but got push back to April 2019 now.

Last of us 2 obviously the most hyped game as we know little about what's is happening at ms in 2019. Apart from crackdown 3 nothing has been talked about if a gears or halo get released then it's another story for me as a fan of both franchises.

Wouldn't say lockdown, but PS4 will continue to dominate.

Way more excited for the Switch lineup TBH.

The Fire Emblem trailer said spring 2019 so I think it's pretty much a lock. You're right that Shin Megami V has no release date. It was announced in 2017 and entered full development in February, so 2019 is likely. A Mario game would be very helpful. We know that New Super Mario Bros U is set for January, but a remake of Galaxy like you mentioned would be ideal.

@pmanden: 2019 will be the Switch's strongest year so far imo. The games lineup is superb.

@knight-k: I don’t have any current gen consoles because they’re pretty boring. It’s like artificially segmenting games that would otherwise have worked relatively the same.

Hardware is more fun than software. But now these consoles are just stripped down PCs. At least with the PS3 we had the Cell.

Hardware differences offer us chances to differentiate in more compelling ways. I personally am not compelled by the limited exclusives. Boring.

I'm not sure what exact metric we'll be using but I think it'd be

h/w unit sales and 3rd party sales - PS4 will win in NPD and global estimates

s/w unit sales of exclusives and best attach ratio - Nintendo will probably sell more s/w units of all their exclusives combined even compared to combination of MS and Sony AAA first/2nd party "exclusives".

MS will have a much better year compared to 2018.
