I'm absolutely sure it will. Mario has no chance against Sonic, never had never will. I'm expecting 10 to be the lowest score.

Sonic Forces is going to rupture the gaming community as it will force critics to introduce an 11th point for the sake of this game. Critics will finally come to terms that there's too many 10/10 games now and they're in reality the new 8/10 rating due to inflation. Sonic Forces will change all of that and change the gaming industry forever.

Sonic Forces is on the Xbox One X enhanced list, I initially dismissed it thinking it was another failed 3D Sonic(sorry fans, what I mean is I don't recall any recent spectacular Sonic game in 3D that came out recently, I did get Sonic Mania and I love it, but haven't had too much time to play yet...also I'm on my 3rd single malt scotch drink now).

Now, since the TC went out of his way to make this thread, and I'm not able to tell who is being sarcastic in this thread or not, this game is now on my radar.....if the reception is great, it's going to get installed on my drive soon and ready for 4K action. But my plate is full now, I want to support Sonic if I can and although I'm not really into platformers these days, I think I could make an exception for this game if it turns out great and I know I will enjoy it, but I have a preference for 2D Sonic, I never actually played a 3D Sonic game before for too long

Dude you're gonna fucking love this game in 4K. With gameplay virtually unmatched to any platformer ever conceived, and frame rates so good it makes Sonic gotta go fast, PC is going to be the definitive platform to play Sonic Forces. I'm afraid it's going to give Divinity: Original Sin 2 a run for best PC game of 2017 cause Sonic really is that fast as well as his frame rates he swipes all the glory.

@jaydan: cool cool, I always liked the fast-paced nature of the series. I'll be honest that I'd be getting this in part to alleviate the slight jealousy of not being able to play a GOAT like Odyssey at this time, so I'd be perfectly fine with a 9 Sonic game.

I think the Switch version might beat Mario. The other versions are on trash systems so they will get trash scores.

Btw, i know its trollish thread but theres not 1 in a million to see any Sonic game outscore main Mario series and thats because Sonic is based around speed and different gameplay mechanics that are not that deep nor can be any different from the gameplay we having for years now.

If they want Sonic to even think to score 10s left and right they need a serious reboot of the series ( 3D series ) and provide something way deeper than ... run-jump and repeat.

I know this isn't serious but...... I've seen the new Avatar character gameplay and the combat looks terrible. Worse than I thought it would. o__O

Hell no. Even by Sonic standards it's terrible. Forces is worse than Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Heroes, and Sonic 06 combined. Any score higher than a 2 is too kind.

I just got done playin the demo on the switch and I can easily say that MArio has noting to worry about .

The new Sonic may be good, but it will most likely not be better than Mario, and therefore won't score better. Call it Nintendo bias if you want, but it definitely looks so far like an 8/10 or 9/10. Sonic Mania was great, though, so I'm holding out hopes that it will be fun.
