Do you think games are really worth $60?...are most games worth full price?

I'm curious as to how much people actually spend on games. Me personally I rarely ever buy games on day 1, I always get them new (never used) but I wait until they drop down in price a bit, unless it's something really great like Uncharted, COD, or Skyrim (though I will probably skip MW4). Most games are not worth $60, they either lack the content or quality to justify the purchase, which is why I'm waiting to get Max Payne 3.

I don't purchase many at that price anymore; honestly I think they could be cheaper but companies have to make them moneyz.

Just one more reason to game on PC ... much, much cheaper games ;).

Especially next-gen when the consoles will find a way to kill used games.

I would never pay $60 for a flop like All Stars, that's for sure.

I think Xbox 360, Wii, Wii U, DS, 3DS, and PC games are all worth the full price. I don't think any game on the PS3, PSP, or PS Vita are worth full price though.charizard1605

No, about 90% of all games are not worth $60. They generally are never worth full price. There are a few that are worth full price but most of those are even debatable.

Buy on PC and you'll rarely ever have to pay full price.

I don't think I've ever paid a full sixty dollars for a video game. I paid fifty bucks for Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Sleeping Dogs, but that's it.PannicAtack

Yeah, the most I paid for a PC Game was Portal 2 for $50 but that was only because I bought it very close to when it came out.

FC3 was one of the only games I have payed full price for this year. And it was definitely worth it. But most games certainly aren't so I usually wait for 40$ or lower price points.

Depends on the individual and what they think justifies the price. Is a game with a massive amount of content worth more than a short game that can be replayed many times?

I thought Far Cry 3 was worth the $49.99 I paid for.

I'm assuming this is the highest US bracket. In NZ games can get to $130 and above at EB Games. Which I think is much too high. I've paid that price for one game, and I think even for the best games that's pushing it. I think games should be NZ$110 tops.
