Do you think AC Origins will be a Good game?

So i have been watching and looking some footage and imo it doesnot looks bad. while watching it, i said not bad, not bad. it looks far far better than shitty games like unity and syndicate or overrated games like AC2. but i dont think it will be better than Black flag. thats the peak of franchise.

what i like is that they actually change the combat system. instead of one button smash or hold right click and wait for counter that was in AC2 (lol what were ubisoft thinking??). it actually feel like combat might take some skills. infact the game looks like most challenging AC game to date.

the egypt setting is also interesting. better than any previous setting except pirate ones of course.

what do you think? will it be finally a good game? or will it be as bad as previous?

I think it "looks" like an improvement. That said, I've lost trust in Ubisoft so I wait until games are released and reviewed first. They make everything look good, and the actual product can be very different :( Fingers crossed it plays as good as it looks!

As long as they focus on piracy and leave out the shitty Assassin stuff it could be great.

my friend, its kinda sad how people were crazy for AC2 which was mediocre game yet hate AC3 which was better than 2 in every single way.

Also currently replaying Black Flag. The pirate stuff is good fun and that's what I do most. Whenever I have to go do the missions I roll my eyes. At least Edward Kenway is a good character. Much better than Ezio.

I agree. Ezio is absolutely terrible character. edward kenway gone from poor to priveeter to pirate and finally become assassin. unlike ezio, edward is badass and have some edge.

Since it's developed by the team behind Black Flag, the best one in the series so far, AC Origins should turn out very good. It could possibly surpass Black Flag. But if not, it should at least be better than the rest.

the lead developer is ashraf ismail. the one behind black flag. so yes it can turn out as good as black flag and not as terrible as other games.

the series become much better when jade raymond left. and replace by ashraf ismail.

I enjoyed both Unity and Syndicate but I'm taking an extended break from the series as I simply have too much to play at the moment and not enough free time.

Origins will probably be good but I'm going to wait till next year.

Jade Raymond wasn't the director, but was the producer for AC1 and executive for AC2. The director behind AC 1 & 2 was Patrice Désilets, who previously directed Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (AC was originally supposed to be a Prince of Persia spin-off). It was when Désilets left that the series went downhill. And then that void was filled by Ashraf Ismail, with Black Flag surpassing all the other AC games. However, Ubisoft dropped the ball with Unity and Syndicate, which were probably just annual cash-ins to fill the time while Ismail's team was busy working on Origins.

Assassins Creed a good game? What the hell... its hard to even answer that. I almost had brain cancer from braindead repetitive gameplay of the first games. Did that OP write the word challenging in the same sentense as AC? If AC is challenging then you really are bad at games LOL

black flag has naval battle that is actually challenging. rest of games are bad. and easy.

In clownzone i would of clown you really hard because i dont play the bad single player on it. I would make you very neggy in a competitive scrim when game was active. I miss these games, but now we have Horizon which literally melts AC in graphics lol

Since its Ancient Egypt I think it won't have enough building to climb. So Nope for me but still who knows.

I still have to finish playing Black Flag. I played all of the ones before it. I got burned out on the series and have not found a compelling reason to return to it. With new releases and other games in my backlog fighting for my time, there aren't many fucks left for AssCreed.

@ghosts4ever: 3 was an embarrassment to the concept of 2 and Brotherhood. I can't see how anyone would prefer an empty open world with nothing to do in 3, to a map like Rome in Brotherhood. Makes no sense.

3 has better gameplay, better combat, much better story and characters. Haythem kenway is better than any AC2 character and i wish instead of connor he would have been main protagonist.

AC2 imo was too bland and dull. the combat is absolutely worst. you have to wait for enemy to attack you then you counter.

I'm very curious to see how this game plays on the Xbox X so I hope it's better than unity and syndicate lol.

it just seems like a bunch of AAA tropes mashed together, I've learned recently that these types of games just dont hold my interest anymore even if well executed (ala Horizon Zero Dawn).

It'll be great, but not as good as Syndicate.

All I know is Assassin's Creed Origin is a day one purchase on PC. After playing Black Flag (which was a good AC game by the way) I went on Hiatus from the rest of the AC series and I saw Origin at E3 2017, I'm coming back to AC. Plus it's going to Egypt, I love Egyptian setting stuff which is a plus!

These games are always around, and you know what to expect. Bugs at launch ended it up good after several patches. Still not gonna fall for another Ubisoft hype. One of those games where you'll gonna get the GOTY version of the game. I'm gonna get the whole thing and when the price drops.

I can't take another AC game after AC3. I still hasn't beat it though...

Gotta admit, I don't play AC for its gameplay.

If it's SP only with a massive open world, engaging combat and lots to do within that world, then yes.

If they put some sort of MP in it and just fill the world with collecting flags and such, then no it will bore people quickly.

I'm a big Assassins Creed Fan, there have been several games I favored above the other but I never really disliked any (save for Bloodlines, that game was horse shit) I'm definitely looking forward to Origins.

Nope it's juSt another boring AC

From what I saw at E3, it looked rather boring. It looks beautiful but yet.. bland. This may be the only mainstay Assassin's Creed game I don't buy at launch.

Think the setting is amazing, so there's great potential there. Think AC stands out more in an ancient setting, than say Victorian London, which is pretty much modern day europe with single digit hp cars. Exotic locations, real tombs again, mysterious masked enemiers, camels! Glad they finally did something substantial about the combat as it has been a real snorefest since forever.

Not that thrilled about the RPG direction. Have trouble finishing games like Horizon and the Witcher, because they are just too much and overstay their welcome. Hopefully AC:O will feel a bit lighter.

But will be there day 1.

If you really enjoy the series then please, I want you to enjoy the series.

Personally I can't think of AC as good. I probably should skip. Tried like 4 games now and none of them do it for me. I think my problem is with the story (I don't like the idea of the Animus at all), the characters (too many fancy names thrown around that end up just being the usual kill), and the combat (dead easy and takes away the feeling of being a sneaky assassin outsmarting his pursuers). I guess I have problems with their core design philosophy of this series.

And Origins will be a solid 8. I'm like 65% certain of it.

But the title has Assassin in it.

AC3 first few parts where you play as haythem waayyy better than anything trash AC2 did. but then game going downhill once you play as connor.

AC4 fix all of this and become best and only good in series.

AC2 was trash, and 3 was better.

AC2 > AC4 >AC3

its expansion brotherhood was not that good either but slightly better game.

@ghosts4ever: naw, 1 and 2 are the best, everything after that was a mistake. 4 was only slightly decent, but they went overboard (heh) with the ships

AC2 was very very easy and basic game. when you go into combat. you hold the right click and wait for enemy attach then encounter and kill. terrible game.

the only good thing was climbing.

The only good aspect was the piracy. The assassin stuff is awful. The stealth mechanics are barebones and the combat is summarized with the press of a button. Ironic you said they went overboard with the only thing they did right.

They should make a full pirate game asap.
