Do you still have Dream games/sequels left?

Hello friends,

As of recent nearly all my dream sequels finally coming or released.

STALKER 2 was my dream sequel and its coming

Alan wake 2 was my dream sequel and been wanting it, now its finally announced and coming

Splinter cell is one of my fav game of all time and now its getting remake and not open world sequel or conviction/blacklist trash like.

Hitman got masterpiece trilogy after disappointment absolution.

System shock getting remake which is almost followup to System shock 2.

now I still have my Dream games left.

Half life 3 which may never happened, MGS1 remake is my dream remake and im surprise splinter cell getting remake first. Shenmue 4 as AAA title develop by sega. no more kickstarter crap because its too ambitious for that.

and last of all, Max Payne 4. Give us Max payne 4 or Max payne 1 remake. could work each way but give us another Max payne please. thats my biggest dream game now.

Its called Bloodborne 2 and I personally dont mind if they cancel Elden Ring to make way for it.

Half Life 3, Left 4 Dead 3 and Day of Defeat 3 are dream games. Pure dreams though.

I want a sequel in the Warcraft, C&C, Grim Dawn, Bioshock and Prince of Persia franchises.

Mirror’s Edge and Prince of Persia. I feel like neither franchise really reached its full potential. There’s so much left to evolve.

Phantasy Star 5 is my wish upon a star game. I know even if it does get made it wont be as glorious as I envisioned. But I would love an honest crack at a Phantasy Star reboot without the online, or the microtransactions, or playing dress-up.

There's still some id like to see but most I wouldn't like to see because of modern gameplay mechanics that would ruin the charm, like a new Jedi Knight, Deus Ex remake or Everquest 1 for instance. If I hear about a remake or sequel to an old game I liked, I find it hard to get excited because I expect them to be developed for todays gamer and end up being something else with controller centric UI, TV FOV, ear lobe guns, cut scenes, more cut scenes, tap E to move object etc. that I probably wont like that much. Its why I'm not that excited for STALKER 2 all I can do is hope they don't bastdardise that series too.

and beside console centric games are so 2009. come on.

games today can be complex immersive sim. ala Prey.

you might hate Doom and Doom Eternal and despite different approach they are hardly cinematic, walk in straight line or slower paced.

Deathloop is another excellent unique and innovative game which doesnot have any "modern" mechanics yet people dislike it.

More single player games in TLoU universe. Not necessarily Ellie's story. I just love the setting.

I'd love a follow up to 2017 Prey.

A few others said Prince of Persia and a Deus Ex remake. I agree with both of those. In the case of Deus Ex I would be fine with another reboot without a lame protagonist.

Something like Trigger -> Cross. Somewhat related, but mostly different characters and a standalone story.

Lost odyssey 2

I would love a new freespace, Crimson skies, Starlancer and Freelancer. These are all highly unlikely :(.

I was excited to hear there was a new Outcast in the works. the trailer though....ehhhh...hmmm.

I'd like a Red Alert 2 remake.

@osan0: Kinda in that vein, I'd like to see Squadron 42 actually happen. But if not that, EA should give Motive a proper budget and let them make a Wing Commander sequel (or reboot if we're being realistic). Build off Squadrons as a foundation, and expand the scope of it.

My dream game though is Bushido Blade 3. All these years, and fistfulls of on-hit-kill fighters later, and there is still nothing quite like it. And if not that, could we at least get a second Slice, Dice, and Rice?

Also these: Mirror's Edge, F-Zero, Prince of Persia, Twisted Metal, Crimson Skies, Power Stone.

Always hoping for a new Valkyria Chronicles; Advance wars too, but the one that i'm always foolishly expecting is Dark Cloud 3

SSB Ultimate is already a dream game. The only thing more I can wish for is a touched up re-release for whatever Ninendo's next console ends up being with even more characters.

I've gotten the main ones that I wanted, but I'd take Mega Man X9, Sonic Adventure 3, Age of Mythology 2, Skies of Arcadia 2, or Virtua Fighter 6 next. As for remakes, I'd want Panzer Dragoon Saga and Skies of Arcadia done right.

My dream game will most likely never be made - because even I don't have an exact idea of what it is. I just know that it's an RTS of extraordinary scale and ambition, far beyond anything the industry will ever be willing to make, even when the genre was at its peak.

The closest thing the industry has ever made to my vision right now is Sins of a Solar Empire, and even that is still miles out. Though I admit, Stellaris may or may not be even closer, but I haven't played enough of it to determine that.

Oh man i would love Squadron 42 to actually be a thing. I really really hope the whole SC/SQ 42 thing actually delivers. It's ambition alone is great to see and something the AAA sector lacks to a comical degree at this stage.

Tons, but I care more that these franchises get proper sequels, not that straight to video mentality if bleeding a franchise dry by sticking a new number on the end of a title that once meant something. For starters, the "who" is making something is always important. I took interest and loved Nier Automata because Platinum Games was involved, but if Square Enix tasked Eidos Montreal to make its sequel it would already be dead to me.

@osan0: Felt from the begining that Star Citizen was too ambitious for it's own good, but I have nothing but respect for the team and Chris Roberts for aiming high. Would love to be proven wrong, and watch all the cynical internet brats have to eat their words, but we'll see.

I do think Squadron 42 will happen though, eventually.

MGS 1 through 4 could use a remake. Also would love to see FF9 and Chrono trigger get one as well.

As far as sequels Bloodborne 2, Marvel vs Capcom 3, Darkstalkers 3 and Dragons Dogma 2.

As far as Dream games now that Insomniac is making Wolverine i just need an X-Men game and a good adaption of Berserk made into games.

I suppose I've grown into a cynic when it comes to new games. The industry has reached such scale in the market that capitalistic inclinations are imposing on (and overriding) creative liberties and prudent design decisions that would benefit the player experience. IF money were no issue, there's tons of games I'd be hyped for. But as money makes the world go round, and the market is massive, and games' success is contingent on the embracement of that market, it operates the same way math does: when a number gets large enough, what do you generally do first before you begin operations? Find the lowest common denominator. That same principle is applied to market realities, and it negatively affects games.

As a consumer who enjoys this hobby, I never much concerned myself with anything aside what the prospect of new technology could afford us in terms of experiences. Little did I realize that to even utilize that tech, it depends on the support of markets where it's required to be dumbed and watered down to be able to do so. Thank god for indies.

Another Half-Life game. Alyx was proof they still have not only great game developers, but the Half-Life franchise is still great.

I'd like to see some more god games. A new Black and White would be pretty awesome.

And lastly, despite the current social climate at Blizzard and the fact that WoW is kind of shitty...I'd really like to see a World of Starcraft MMO. The world needs more MMO action games and I think a Starcraft MMO would make for an excellent MMO action game.

Probably won't happen unless Yu Suzuki does another Kickstarter and aims for a higher budget.

Comix Zone, definitely would look cool with today's graphics hand drawn.

Socom 2 and 3 remake. I seriously have no idea why Sony drags their feet with this franchise. It just screams of a comeback. Put all the maps from 2 and 3, make the playlist like it was for team games(once you die,you die) and for the bigger maps make it a battle royale. Make it free to play with a battle pass like fortnite or warzone and it's an instant win. But sony is fucking stupid when it comes to first party multiplayer games.
