I get everything is game by game basis, so asking what RPGs you played on what platform, and why you made that choice. Any Pros/Cons.
I've read of notable lag playing some MMO's on console. Console also seems to lack mod support and keyboard and mouse. For all these reasons I've had little incentive to play games on console. The X/Pro now have enhanced copies of games, some can run up to 60fps, so things have changed in that regard, but not sure if that is enough. Only thing I can't really figure out is where most users play, but I don't think that is as big of issue for popular games.
General Factors:
- Where the bros and hoes at
- Platinum vs 1000 vs Steam Cards
- Price
- Graphics
- Frames
- Favorite Input Option
- Censorship
- Desk vs Couch
- TV vs Monitor
- Which makes you feel good and cool
Seems like biggest factors for RPG:
- Mod support/Control of content (SP)
- User Base/Number of active users online (MP)
- Are those users cool (MP)
- Performance and Power
- Key & Mouse vs Controller
- Lag (MP)
I've always just played MMOs and WRPGS on Windows. I did get into JRPGs on PS1/PS2 and did play a few on PS4. I did play FFXI, Morrowind and FO3 on Xbox/360, but that was ages ago and haven't done any like that this gen outside playing on those save files. Everything else has been PC, going back to isometric days.
My problem is mostly overthinking everything, just choosing need help figuring out where I should play stuff like Witcher 3, Elder Scrolls Online, Divinity 2, and Dragon Age on PC, X or PS4? Easy choice would just opt for PC for everything, but I already got access to many RPGs through Gold and Game Pass so they will make choice easier, EA Access does as well, but if I'm gonna spend $20 to buy Witcher 3 or invest $40 in Elder Scrolls Online Expansions, feels like I should just pick up on PC.
