Do you get solicited on PSN?

I have just about everything set to 'private' or 'friends only' on my PSN settings, yet I still receive random invites from accounts with obviously generated names and zero trophies. I never accept, and block them/report them, but I assume if I were to accept that it would lead to some kind of scam or webcam pron. Either way, I'd be left holding my D in my hand, feeling shame.

I never get these on XBL however, only PSN.

What gives? Do you guys and gals get these, or just me?

I’ve only had 2 random adds on PSN and I just ignored them. I also have everything set to private and friends only, and only have a couple friends on it anyways.

Probably because PSN actually has a community unlike XBL.

Yup. Rarely use the PS4, don't online game on it, still get weird shit.

One of them was funny though. Seems this dude tried to start a chat with everyone who has Conan in their user name lol.

I've had it happen and I am locked down too on private/friends only. It doesn't happen very often at all tho. I'm talking maybe once or twice within the last few years. The ones I got were some obvious scams you can spot a mile away. The profile pic of some random "enticing gamer girl" with a random message like "hi how are you?" or "hey there how's it going?" I just delete and move on like its junk mail. I don't get those on XBL either....most of my random invites are from my sons friends thinking I a him...as he uses my account sometimes.

Yes. lol. My wife was using the PS4 Pro for Netflix and she's texting me "who are these people messaging you? You pig!" That was 2 years ago or so. I haven't had any since.

I think he is referring to the spam accounts that try to get you to give them money or PSN wallet funds.

These accounts are usually disguised as women.

Its a well known issue that hasnt been fixed or even addressed.

You can report the accounts and they are banned but obviously not fast enough

I don't know about you all, but since the first week of me getting the ps5 i've been getting a bunch of messages that begin with a "hey baby" that quickly follow with "do you want to see my X things". What the ****. Also getting some basement dwellers trying to sell me CoD Warzone hacks when i have never even installed the game on any of my systems. I don't want to see you melons and i don't want your hacks, go away.

All the time. I thought it was just an old stalker girlfriend of mine doing it.

Only time got a PS4 mail was from some guy on a Chun Li alt who went on a rant about how he reached Silver "genuinely" and Fang was cheating.

Almost justified paying a fee to play online.

I have not had my PS4 long enough for that to happen but I have to say it happened a few times on Steam.

I'm not sure, if I get a friend request from a name I don't know I instantly delete it. I haven't gotten any random ones for awhile though.

All the time, buy oddly enough they never say anything, they just try to add me as a friend.

These are the kind I've been getting lately. Accounts with no trophies and no message. Just a request.

I have gotten messages pretending to be flirty chicks, which I assume lead to a webcam site eventually, but I haven't got that kind in quite a while.

Don't have PSN. But I've gotten several randos sending me friend requests on EGS. And I never use EGS. Just throw it on the huge pile of things that make EGS fucking crap, I guess.

All the time. I guess it’s because I don’t care and have all my settings on public. I should have been reporting them instead of just deleting the messages. Sorry guys...

I rarely played my PS4 but I got lots of messages from strangers saying they knew how to get free wallet funds... obvious scam, and if not food way to get my PSN account banned.

I did for a brief period before I locked my privacy settings down hard.

Not too often, but a couple of times. Can't remember if it's happened to me on XBL. I just ignore/delete.

Cam girls send things all the time on PSN... well, at least they used to. I haven't gotten any in awhile. I joke block the users and delete the posts.

I do remember one time my wife saw the message and I had to explain how I didn't know what it was.. lol. They sent them to my kids playstation as well and my kids actually responded back... I told them to never do it again and they haven't received any for quite some time either.

I've also gotten chain message "Free $50 giftcards and PSN cards" but that's been quite some time as well. I haven't gotten any of these types of messages on the PS5 yet.
