Did you play Persona 5?

I give props to the VGA's for recognizing Persona 5, because I honestly did no think it would get best RPG. It will be interesting to see if other sites give it that award as well. Did you get to play the game, SW? I thought it was good, though I enjoyed Persona 4 Golden more (at least the story and the characters more, and definitely the music more). They improved the dungeons and combat in 5 though.

Been meaning to play P4G for years, but finally pawned it off on my (ex) girlfriend earlier this year. Watched her play it a lot, and it's really just not my thing.

Best part was, I was getting some work done in my office and I heard her from the other room saying "Damn it, why won't this game just let me play it!"

Knew right then and there it would be a no go for me lol.

No. I'm not interested in the gameplay and I really don't like the art style. I wish these developers would adopt good anime styles instead of generic and bad ones.

I don’t feel comfortable playing sexually suggestive games starring high school kids.

I would not waste my time playing it even if it was given to me for free. I have zero interest in that type of game.

I played it and it was pretty good. I really liked the gameplay mechanics but in the end I stopped playing it because I just couldn't be bothered doing the daily life stuff in between all the main dungeons it bored me stiff.

I hated that this stuff affected gameplay and player stats too like you were punished if you didn't do the boring stuff EXACTLY the right way or the way the devs wanted you to do it. Overall great RPG (I love turn based) with completely superfluous and mundane 'real life' bits.

For 300+ hours, yes. Top 3 game of the year for me, and it's the first traditional jrpg I've really enjoyed (Valkyria Chronicles not counting) since Skies of Arcadia.

Uninstalled as soon as I did. Good game, 9/10, would like Morgana to tell me to go to sleep again.

Yes and I was disappointed. Played P3P, P4G and recently P5.

P5 was my least favorite

Nope. I'm not the demographic the game is designed for. My daughters might like it, assuming it ever appears on Steam. They've moved to PCs and staying there.

Yes I did, and I'll say it's one of my favorite games this year.

I tried to play it, but after 12 hours and the game still feeling like a tutorial I gave up.

I'll probably pick it up again in the future, I liked alot about the game....its just really slow

Beat it twice. Thinking about going through it a third time in Sub instead of Dub. It's a good game probably even great compared to the whole 2017 year. I'd put P4>P3>then P5 dead last though. The other two games had the more interesting/believable stories, characters, and world--lacking only in a slower combat system compared to P5. But of course, as I've said before somewhere, my RPG of the year goes to Tales of Berseria. Realized Divinity OS II was too hardcore for me--perhaps some streamlining of the game for part 3 will get me into it (hides in fear from DOS fans).

aye. it was my first persona game. i didnt get far into it though.

what i played was good but nothing spectacular. in fairness the story (from what i played) went to places i didnt expect which was a surprise and the combat is good. its also REALLY stylish. the menus look class. generally its a great looking game.

but the living in japan element of the game was pretty meh. i also hate time limits. in fairness the game warns you if you are off the pace and the time limit (in the first dungeon at least) isnt tight. but still...HATE time limits in games.

overall a solid game but i suppose the alarm bells should have been ringing when the first thing the eurogamer review talks about is the menus (which, as i say, look brilliant in fairness). it didnt make me go and hunt down a copy of P4G for my vita.

it's a real slow start, 1/4th is the worst part of the game imo

Played a good amount of the game to see if it was my kind of game. Realized it wasn't and quit playing it. It was not a bad game, just wasn't something I wanted to drop 100+ hours into.

Hell yea. After waiting for a long time it definitely met my expectations and is my personal GOTY. Will probably jump back in in a few months to go back for my platinum.
