Did the 360 fall? What was the biggest mistake microsoft made?

It started this gen in 1st place (lems count it when other systems arent out yet), to 2nd, to last.

Idk man, I think around 2008 they went full casual and stopped supporting the system with games and that was their downfall. They became a multiplat/Kinectbox.

They lost SOOOOOOOOOOO much marketshare, while Sony started from scratch with 0 marketshare and just kept gaining marketshare, the 360 started this gen with 100% marketshare and managed to end this generation with the least amount of marketshare.

Gotta feel for M$ in these harsh times :(

i'd say, spending money for timed exclusives instead of new ip's

Plus the xbox brand is the weakest out of the big 3, so that has alot to do with it

It failed on reability and first party studios.

That said, unlike the general expectation, a few years ago, it ended up the gen with the best library, some of the best console graphics and more sales that the previous MS console. If that's not success, i don't get what would be.

no you got it. 1. the high launch price was actually covered by tricking people into buying the wireless adaptor and HD separate, along with RROD. 2. Still doesnt have the games on a consistent basis 3. Reported major losses in revenue just last week or two weeks ago actually 4. Too many hacking reports for the 360 to really care.PressXtoJump

I guess it was the lack of games since 2007. 360 had two strong years and an O.K. launch. 2008 onwards has been god awful exclusive wise.

Their biggest mistake was relying on third parties for exclusive games, it seemed like it was going to pay off at the start of the gen but look at how many exclusives the 360 has lost to ps3 and pc. They should have invested their money more wisely like Sony.G-O-M-J
