@charizard1605: Do you have concrete official sales numbers to prove it didn't? Because otherwise it did. Not to mention it still has games coming for it and its still being manufactured.
So officially its still alive.
That's not how this works. We have official numbers showing us how much Wii U sold. We have no official numbers for Vita. Unless you can prove a statement you made (I never said anything about Vita outselling anything), your statement does not stand.
The many games coming from it are coming from Japan, the one territory where it did somewhat okay (and where it is also dying out, by the way, with support finally migrating wholesale to PS4 now- we're only getting residual localizations at this point).
As for discontinuation, Vita is at least reportedly discontinued in Europe, and has no retail shelf space whatsoever in North America. Sony has publicly discontinued first party support for the Vita, and declared it to be a legacy platform. You don't get more 'dead' than that.
I love my Vita, but stop making excuses for it. Sony f*cked up, hold them to account for it. Dragging in an unrelated statement and making logically unsound arguments, many of which fly in the face of self evident truths, is only making you seem unnecessarily insecure, which I am sure you are not.
