Those jaguars!
Lems are avoiding this thread like the plague. ? Isn't this supposed to be the main system seller for XboneX this holiday?
Don't understand the hype for this game. It must be super fun because it has nothing else going for it.
PUBG is very CPU intense and that's the one thing the X lacks (it's barely mid tier by 2009 standards). Ram and GPU are good but the CPU is complete trash

Lol have you been playing video games for their emotional string pulling merits thus far?
@creepywelps: I experienced none of that last night during 4 hours playing. But knock yourself out, ill keep playing.

To make it run well on the X, it would need to be re-programmed and optimized for the GPU. But Christmas might already be gone by the time that happens. The X needs PUBG as a killer app for Christmas, so Microsoft rushed it.

You can only optimize it so much when the CPU is that weak. In a large open world with 100 players and tons of action, CPU is NOT something you want to skimp on. They'll patch it to make it less choppy but there not gonna perform any miracles with what they have.

Not going to happen, the few tasks you could throw onto the gpu instead can not make up the lack of processing power the cpu has. The devs have already made the game gpu bound as much as possible by making the game run at 4k. Fact is that cpu can not keep up with all the draw calls for the gpu and handle all the data concerning player locations and actions on the map. The game relies on brute processing power and not correctly using an even load balancing along all cores/threads aka proper multithreading.
The game still has alot of work to be done.
that game has shitty optimization in the first place. I'm not surprised that it is gonna run shitty on consoles.
@jtothamtothap: I’ve seen potato PCs run this game better than the XboneX. The problem here is the shitty Jaguar CPU which is i3 garbage-tier level.
Imagine it running on the PS Protato.
I'm sure the game will be patched before full release but I don't expect it to even come close of reaching 30fps on the beginning of each match.

What does that make the PS4 Pro's CPU? lol it would fare must worse on your console of choice.
Funny how cows and hermits in this thread suddenly ignore optimization.
People with GTX 970s+ also have issues with this game, just read their forums/reddit.
Should not be surprising to anyone who saw it or played it on PC
Pretty much this.
All you gotta do is try playing on your PC or read their forums, This thread also proves many of you cows haven't touched this game on PC.
Optimization on PC is also bad. Got this from opening their forums for just a few seconds.
my specs are gtx 1080, 16gb of ram, 2tb hard drive, 1tb of ssd, core i7 and I run around 40-60fps of the very low settings. There is no way you could run this game with the recommended steam settings. I can run any game for example (battlefield one, mortal kombat) on max settings so I should be able to run this game on ultra or high settings. I have tried launch options:-USEALLAVAILABLECORES -sm4 -d3d10 -malloc=system -lowmemory, I have also tried editing gameusersettings, finally I have also used NVIDIA Control Panel to try to fix the fps (none with any success)
Fps Adv On Very Low Settings
Spawn 40-50fps / With Rain 30-45fps
City 35-55fps / City With Rain 30-50fps
In building 50-65fps / In Building With Rain 45-60fps
Open Land 50-60fps / Open Land With Rain 45-60fps
I have FPS peaks where I would go to about 90fps for a few min (depending where I am) then drop back down to 50, or I would have lag drops to about 30fps
@jtothamtothap: It probably would but the difference is Sony isn’t hyping the PS4 Pro as a “Beast” and PUBG isn’t some coveted timed exclusive “marquee” title on the the PS4. ? Get rekt lems!
@PCgameruk: Take off your own and accept i didn't. I had to get that because DF did? I live in Brookly, NY. Come on over and play with me.
@FLOPPAGE_50: Wife has a 970 and a 6600k... Easily hits 60+fps, Soooo....
That's not what Optimization means breh.
I know people with a 960-980 who are struggling with this game too, again go read their forums/reddit.
Early access game and Cows laughing at a game that doesn't run on their system at all.
Well the usual cows need their daily circle jerk to ease their insecurities
It's a cpu heavy game that doesn't utilize more than 4 threads so not exactly shocking results, for example i3 8100 beats every Ryzen in the game
And no unless the engine sees fundamental changes the performance wont get much better

They're not huh? Might want to open your eyes and ears quack. That's exactly what Sony was doing prior to launch AND the X1X reveal. After that, there really was no need seeing as the X1X shits all over it.
