This is a seriously powerful GPU and it's not cheap, the RTX 2080 ti will set you back $1,200 and it still can't even do 60fps with this game. Not even close, It's locked at 30 fps.
What does that say about next gen consoles ray tracing performance? Well, one thing is looking very obvious, the PS5 does not have enough CUs with only 36 to get anywhere near 2080 ti performance, heck it probably can't even match the 2060's ray tracing performance.
The Xbox Series X is a beast with 52 CUs and that means you can expect decent ray tracing performance on next gen titles.
What this means for you is expect a lot of PS5 games to run at 30 fps due to poor ray tracing and overall performance for next gen games. If you want your games to look next gen and run at a full 60 or 120 fps, the Xbox Series X is where you want to be.
If you want to play The Last of US 3 and find out what happens to Abby, then the PS5 is a decent buy.
But this is just my opinion, what say you?
