Sounds like a better allocation this time around. Better visual choices like image quality over resolution. They could and should humble the X a bit more though. In terms of performance on every one favourite FouK modes, X should be the one with the most stable performance not the Pro. Just gotta be a bit more aggressive with it.

I love these vids. They always make me laugh. Not a single console can run the game at 60fps. Good old Jaguar CPU... the gift that keeps on giving. LOL

@DragonfireXZ95: you will be able to enable ray traced shadows that dont look much better than regular shadows all at 1080p30.

Quoted from Eurogamer: "Still, even with this issue, I'd have to give the nod to Xbox One X as the best version overall: while the minor tearing is annoying in 4K mode, the extra sharpness is noticeable throughout and if you prefer a faster frame-rate, the X version excels there as well. That's not to say the Pro version disappoints - it's a really slick product - but Microsoft's console has the edge."

Screen tearing, seems to be exclusive to xbox going back to 360. Rather play the pro if I had to, screen tearing is a no no for me.

X is the superior version... no surprises there.

I think I'll stick to the resolution mode.

Hahahahaha! It's not a true 4k on X1X. And also Pro has the same assets like X which is much more powerful. X1X BARELY HAS THE EDGE.

PC Definitive version wins yet again! Xbox One X version of Shadow of the Tomb Raider however is impressive, the CPU is clearly bottlenecking the framerates badly. V-sync is the worst.

At the time, the drivers weren't even release during the presentation, the resolution/framerates are just speculation until tech reviewers get the drivers and find out if 2080Ti is the real deal. The price itself is what's the real problem.

The most interesting aspect for me is how they mention that the game overall looks quite better than Rise in many graphical aspects (I'm paraphrasing)....I recently finished Rise and thought it looked great, so this is cool.

Also, it is apparently an HDR showcase, which is great because personally I thought the HDR in Rise was not that great : "I should also briefly mention the HDR implementation - supported across all consoles bar the non-S standard Xbox One, Shadow of the Tomb Raider delivers one of the best examples of high dynamic range rendering I've seen in gaming to date - seriously, it's right up there with the likes of Gran Turismo Sport, and bolstered by a great level of HDR control in the settings menu. Put simply, it's another great reason to invest in a quality 4K HDR display"

I wouldn't get my hopes up given Nvidia's Gamework's performance history.

$1350 for the EVGA FTW3 Ultra. Hefty as hell, but I had some extra money sitting in my bank account, and I'm rocking a 1080 on a 3440 x 1440 monitor. It doesn't cut it as much as a 1080 Ti would, so I thought I might as well go overboard. Lol

LOL so true. I'm skipping the 20xx series and will stay with my 1080Ti for a very long. Raytracing is just eye candy in my opinion.

4K mode is great but is some what negated in my case since I have only a 1080p TV. Plus the performance mode is butter smooth.

I tested all the modes in rise and also preferred the performance mode there so I am expecting to do the same for this game.

What? That video tormented was circulating around lol?

No the time when some lems were claiming the X was comparable to a card between GTX 1070 and 1080. One of them went as far as to push a rumor that it would perform like a 1080ti.

Nah the argument has always been if X1X is 1060 performance or 1070 performance.

For this game its looking like 1070

Forza Horizon 4 will probably be 1070 performance or better too

I guarantee you I can find threads showing all three cases. But yeah eventually it centered around 1070. But even that is a stretch.

I'm amazed the Xbox One X is raw rendering a 131% higher pixel count than the Pro, this console is a beast. I'm curious what the Pro would actually be capable of if they were not reliant on checkerboarding technique, its base render is 500,000 pixels lower than 1440p so I'm assuming its max raw render ability would be 1440p.

It's been reported by DF and NX gamer in the past that Pro doesn't have the extra RAM required to store the frame buffers required for higher resolutions.

X1X has 3Gb more RAM then Pro so it has all the memory required for higher resolution frame buffers and some even some left over for extra textures and effects.

Because it does have some 4k and HDR enabled games.

As well as supporting 4k/HDR video streaming.

Therefore they list 4k and HDR

It really doesn't require a lot of brain power to figure it out.
