Why was 1080p option removed? I thought Xbox One X would have options for 1080p users?
I guess it's because they don't need it. They managed to get the game to run in the 4K mode at a locked 30. The 1080p option wouldn't have been useful. A super sampled image will be better in this case.
Visual glitches. Flickering textures, triangle patterns, checkerboard rendering type artifacts. I'll update the summary to clarify.
Man, considering the style and effect QB goes for, that shit, of all games out there, would be the hardest the notice. Like, not excusing it, but that game is the reason games have that epilepsy warning.

the option for 1080p users is that you get supersampling from higher resolution, resulting in better image quality than your standard 1080p, the difference between ps4 pro and one x is that ps4 pro requires supersampling by the devs while one x does it from the devices side automatically

They had a 1080p option that rendered the game at native 1080p instead of a 1440p reconstruction to 4K.
And now we know @ronvalencia's other heroes, "Ark Dev" were full of shit as well. Dynamic 1440p, which sits at 1080p most of the time in "detail mode" with horrible performance.
The original version ran great. This game was mostly killed by being 780 checkerboarding to 1080p back in the resolution wars. The game and story was great. Only gripe was length of the game, no hoard mode to keep you coming back and final boss battle that was confusing. But definitely a solid 7-8 score from me.
But according to cows graphics don't matter now, so go play this great game!
@the-a-baum: Why do you do this to yourselves? We've all seen how trash the AI is as well as the nonsensical puzzle elements. If good gameplay doesn't have to matter then graphics sure as hell don't have to, either.

You've seen or actually played? Nonsensical puzzle elements? You mean using the powers and not playing as a 3rd person cover shooter?
Obviously you have no clue and have been listening to other fools who played this game wrong. It is an action game with guns yes, but not meant to be played as a cover shooter. You always have to keep moving. It was great and very fun game play. To each their own. Maybe don't bash a game you never played.

30fps is never great. Also, the game is a Quantum Blur. It is up there with The Blur: 1886 as one of the worst offenders of post-processing image degradation.
Its pretty obvious when devs take time and put effort into patching a game to the fullest on the X versus just a quick res bump. The Killer Instinct guys probably patched for the X in one day, whereas Halo 5 damn near looks like a new game entirely.

@ronvalencia - I think you come and explain this train wreck and use some charts as to why it performs no where near GTX1070 levels in this game.....

Remedy's original game is one of the most technically demanding console titles ever made, featuring an advanced real-time global illumination system and a brilliant effects pipeline, put to use via a stunning time-warping gameplay mechanic. Combined with the slow-motion gunfights and powerful soundtrack, Quantum Break is a stand-out experience.

@stereointegrity: Yeah and the Lems have the best vesions of 3rd party mulitplats plus Xbox Exclusives like Forza Horzions 4, Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2, Ori, Halo 6 and new IPs.
