DF Interviews Playground Games; Find out why Forza is "best-in-class."

Downloaded demo and played for about 10 min. Not going to get @ $60 but maybe black fri or once its $40 or so. Looks very nice, I'm appreciating the real world cars over ficitonal ones from BP the most. I miss boost the most. It was also sadenning when I acidentally ran into a fence at full speed but my car was still drivable even with the front end crumpled beyond belief.

One question to people who actually have the game... do you get any cities to race through on the map? Downtown was always the most fun on BP. :(

nah just a few small towns towns, but trust me theres some cracking roads to drive in red rock especially some really really well designed roads especially around the Dam,Rockies and Red Rock.Sure the maps a tad small thats my only issue but by god its one of the most refined open world maps for a racer i've came across.

Red rock at night is just a brilliant road in a RX-7.

Besides on the damage pretty sure they hve said from the outset its more forgiving than the original FM series, i was dissapointed at first but i just had to get used to it.

Even a Forza spin off outscores GT(6yearindevelopment)5 :lol:

I'm not a huge racing fan (mostly like arcade, but did like Forza 3) but this looks so damn good. Gonna try to get it for Xmas.

GT5 does not look better overall since it's wildly inconsistent. In certain conditions GT5 looks better and overall, Forza looks better. Let me know when GT5 gets 800+ cars that aren't just uprezzed PS2 models.

And I'm assuming you can prove Forza's tracks aren't as accurate?

The physics in Forza 4/Horizon are better than GT5. Again, let me know when GT5 properly simulates torque steer, grip progression (as GT5 simply switches from grip to no grip instantaneously rather than actually progressing gradually like Forza), tire modeling (which contributes to the lack of grip progression) proper suspension modeling, side step on high powered RWD drive cars (In GT5 you can floor the throttle in a standing start and the car won't step out while in Forza it will) and other things that Forza does better.

But let me guess, you'll dodge that and say "buh InsideSimRacing said! :cry:" Inside Sim Racing also gave Forza 3's physics a higher score than 4's, which is obviously not true.

Forza 4 looks as good as GT5. Horizon actualy surpassed them, and it's open world. Forza series have been praised by their reallistic physics. Tracks aren't accurate? Well, i can't confirm that. Do you have a link?

We've been over this. GT5 received so many updates because it was unfinished at launch. They had to patch in proper tuning, fix some of the PS2 quality car models, patch in proper mechanical damage (which still is nowhere near as good as Forza's and can only be used in two modes) and so on and so forth.

And if you don't think Turn 10 has supported every Forza game they've released with free content (yes, free) and updates, you're either a moron, in denial or have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Probably a combination of the three, given your incredibly ignorant opinions of the Forza franchise thus far. The only reason Forza hasn't seen as many updates as GT5 is because the game shipped complete and not unfinished...after almost 6 years.

But let me guess, you'll play the "FORZA 4 ONLY SCORED .5 HIGHER THAN AN UNFINISHED GAME! :cry:" card because that's all you have. And even then you still lose.
