DF: Far Cry 5's 60fps Upgrade Impresses! PS5 vs Xbox Series X/S

• This is a next gen patch and not a next gen port
• Series X hits 60fps without framerate issues besides a couple of 1 fps dips in firefights and tearing in a single mission
• Prerendered Cinematics run at 30fps
• Series S performs exactly the same as Series X
• PS5 locks at 60fps without issue. No 1fps dips or tearing in the same spots as Series X
• Series X looks identical to One X and runs at 4K
• PS5 is identical to PS4 Pro and runs at 1620p
• PS5 and Series X still appear identical in sharpness due to possible temporal upsampling
• Series S looks sharper than Xbox One and comes in at 1080p instead of 1440x1080p

PS5 shows a 2fps advantage running PS4 Pro code Vs the SeriesX running XbOneX. Although it makes a good case about higher resolutions not making up for the loss in performance.

@hardwenzen: it's a bug that never happens twice. Xbox version is Native 4k always sharper than non-4k image.

The frame drops in the Series X code is likely an error in the code given that the Series S version does not have that drop in the same area.

I say that because it resolved itself after a minute and didn't occur again.

I wonder if a restart of the PS5 would resolve the 1620p to be 2160p?

FC5 is not a very good game, but nice to finally see it playable at 60fps on console.

1. Series X has more than 1fps drops which the video clearly shows and the analyst further elaborates on which included driving missions. Series X also dropped to the mid low 30's at one section of testing.

2. The analyst specifically states that PS5 is NOT identical to the PS4 Pro version. The whole PS5 vs PS4 Pro comparison was dedicated to expressing the fact that PS5 has a far superior image quality compared to PS4 Pro and PS5 looks close to a 4k resolve making it much close to the Xbox Series X 4k version.

Don't create bullet points that amount to misinformation that can literally be debunked by the very video you're using to make a topic on.

I don't see the point, I still don't want to touch the game again. Fix FC3 Remaster of all things, that version is junk. The audio issues alone kill it for me.
