why not play bloodborne now then? better game and been given away on ps+, bargain bin price otherwise
They're both different kinds of experiences. Demon's Souls is all about defensive play (at least that's how I played it). Bloodborne is action oriented and forces you to dodge.
For someone who has been ignoring shields (other than wearing one on your back for stamina or health regen) since Demon's Souls/ps3 days, i am always amazed when i hear or read someone relying on blocks in these games. Its just strange to me.

Shield, parry and reposte is a valid strategy.
Parries are, but because you can stunlock most everything outside of bosses, it really is not needed in these games. One shot parries is op af in pvp, tho.
