@pdogg93: Death Stranding was confirmed to be coming to PC next year. They announced this shortly before the game launched. Sony probably realized the game is shit and they didn’t care. Which is fine because Death Stranding is nowhere near the rest of their catalog- games like God of War, Uncharted 4, Spider-Man and Horizon Zero Dawn are miles above DS.

It's been a few days since I checked in on death stranding... Everyone still bored to tears? Anyone still holding up that bold front?

I'm wondering if/what the parameters of Kojima next game will be about. Do they give him freedom to do what he wants or is someone going to reign him in?

Also, was Konami right to cut ties with Kojima?

Death Stranding apparently is indicating that it was right for Konami to cut ties and it is good to reign him in. I have not played the game but from the reviews and even Kojima's description of the game, it feels very much like conceptual art for gaming and I have a great disliking of conceptual art.

@TheEroica: All (or most) the people here who have actually played it are enjoying it. I love it. Awesome and tense game. Hell, I think even OP said he started liking it.

So hopefully it sells well and we get more unique games.

@Chutebox: Fair enough. The negativity I am referring even in the positive scoring reviews is with regards to the gameplay.

On the internet I see people claiming to love it. Not many in my personal life still did by the time they finished it. They defended it for a good while claiming its a new experience etc. But days after completing it none say it’s bad or shit but that it is forgettable from a gameplay perspective. I’ll eventually buy it when it’s way cheaper.

At this point the people who say they like it are indoctrinated by the cult leader Kojima because if ANYONE else made a game full of fetch quests they would be laughed out of the industry, could you imagine the backlash Ubisoft would get if they made this game lol.

This game is the ultimate expresion of hipster gaming ... nothing in the game makes sense, yet you have to convice yourself you are enjoying it because it's a Kojima game ...

Anyway, the game looks like hot garbage, i feel really bad for those who got the game thanks to untrustworthy media outlets trying to keep Kojima fanboys happy.

I specially like the GS review ... i honestly can't remember a case when the reviewer is so hard trying to justify a score without actually giving any valid reason ... it just went like "human connections" ... what a ripoff.

It's actually not as bad as people say. While the gameplay kinda drags here and there, takes a while to wind up and is ultimately too easy, it's good enough to hold the player for the star of the show which is the story. Then again the story is typical Kojima, weird, convoluted stuff, so it's not for everyone. Then again I also don't get the people that say that this game is extremely good when the game is clearly using a crutch.
