The game was always looking improvement over original game. this is how you do remake.

I was gonna resub to EA Play Pro but decided to actually buy it on EA App/Origin since I do own all the Dead Space games on that client anyway and I wanted to add this Remake to my gaming collection. Like I said before when a Remake does better than a new IP game...isn't that right Callisto Protocol.

I might just get ea play pro for one month, and play the bish for the 4th playthrough. Its been long enough that i don't remember much of the level design.

Wow. Seeing EA with the Dead Space remake beating Callisto Protocol is just like when Capcom with Mega Man 11 beating Mighty No 9.

First release freaked me out so I never got into it. Maybe I'll give it another go.

Only played it once a long, long, long time ago ... maybe is a good time to play it again.

Makes me sad that people are comparing a remade game that had all the elements already laid out with a new ip that attempted to establish something new.

Youg's opinion on any game is shaky at best.

I don't think you understand (normal, you're an NFT invester afterall). I never said that the game looks bad, or will be a bad remake. What i said is that i have already played the game three times, and couldn't care less about a DS remake when Callisto is coming. I played like 4 hours of Callisto, it was an abysmal experience. Like really really bad, and not just because of its poor combat system.

You keep saying nonsense about EA and Ubi, but even if these big studios milk the franchises that maximize profit, when they have to they will make amazing games. We should all thank CP and Glen for waking the sleeping beast that is EA and putting their talent and resources into real games. It's just a shame that a new studio had to threaten them to actually get serious.

And yeah EA has an A team, bunch of them infact and they have tons of talented people there. Sadly they're all milking madden on an yearly basis. It's a tragedy, these profiteering companies.

I don't understand why anyone would be surprised by the scores the game has been receiving considering it's a remake of an already established and successful IP. But as for if I am getting it, I pre-ordered it two to three weeks ago.

I did say that EA is trash, and guess what? They're mega trash. Expected for Glen to deliver, and he has failed, yes. Him failing doesn't mean that EA is good lmao.

I hope so. This many new IPs flopping will just discourage publishers from trying anything new, and I won't be able to blame them. Something has to pay off.

I've been playing the original Xbox 360 version on the Series X with its BC enhancements, all in the lead-up to the remake releasing.

The original still holds up extremely well, there's going to be a part of me that laments that they didn't do a trilogy remaster, because I personally loved everything they released, even the Wii Extraction game or Dead Space 3, but that aside...

I'd be willing to give it a shot, despite it's $70 price tag, thankfully the 10% EA discount applied to Game Pass Ultimate, and I can't even remember how long it has been since I paid for a full price AAA game, I'm willing to cash in some of the $100+ dollars I have in Xbox Reward points to cover the purchase.

Things I am curious to see how the remake brings a new experience: the new seamless open world design, the metroidvania backtracking explore/unlock design added to it, new variations to the original weapon designs, new exploration areas, new progression paths, new zero gravity that reflects gameplay elements if Dead Space 2 & 3... curious on that last bit whether they added the ability to tear-off enemy limbs and fling them at enemies and pin them into the wall like we could in Dead Space 2.

For now, my only gripe going forward is why the hell this goes live at 8am tomorrow morning and not at midnight, or 12am east coast time / 9pm west coast time. Sheesh.

I hope they reworked the turret part when you have to shoot asteroids coming at the ship. That part sucked and controls blew.

@cainetao11: they reworked the turret part to my knowledge, it's more of an EVA task now to get the turrets online but it has been reworked to address people's dislike of this section.

If you use rewards and you have a grandfathered rebate percentage (for me that's 10% so about a 6300 point $6+ kickback), wait until it's fully on store as pre-orders don't count unless there's a punch card for it in the Xbox Rewards. And if you have EA Play or Game Pass Ultimate it should be extra 10% off.
