Dead Rising 1/2 PS4 vs Xbox One Comparison + Frame-Rate Test

DR1

• Image is very slightly better on PS4 due to different AA technique on XBO
• 1080p/60fps for both
• Frame-rate is closer to 60 fps on PS4, though it comes a t a cost of torn frames
• Asset Quality is identical on both

DR2

• Image quality is identical on both
• 1080p/60fps for both
• Frame-rate is closer to 60fps on XBO instead of PS4
• Asset quality is the same on both
• Cutscenes capped at 30fps, XBO see frame-pacing issues

Note: XBO was patched before the PS4, so performance issues on PS4 might get fixed when the patch is released.

Yes. I find these comparison vids very interesting. I like seeing how devs handle different platforms and how they overcome obstacles unique to that platform.

I thought the same thing since they're releasing the remasters on PS4, they might at least release 3 and for later down the road. I don't know how likely that is, since DR3 was marketed so heavily as an Xbox One Exclusive.

is there still a time limit to finish the game, or did they remove that for this remaster? if they didnt im not interested. i HATE time limits in my games.

Don't worry. I'm sure we'll get the remastered remaster on PS5/Xbox 4 that includes remastered remasters of DR 1 and 2 and remasters of 3 and 4.

The funny thing about those comparison videos is that unless you own both systems and have the game running simultaneously .... you are going to be able to see dick.

Doesn't surprise me that they haven't spent much time on these games, a remaster of a game having a day one patch is funny as **** though.

@Salt_The_Fries: Bulletstorm needs to become BC on X1 immediately.

Not trying to defend Zero here but I always find his comparison threads to be more of a good to know when it comes to between Xbox One to PS4, PS4 to Xbox One performance, even on PC for that matter. His threads are more informer then just thrills.

Edit: To be honest, it would be nice if we can get some Wii U comparisons at least but we all know that's not gonna happen.

If PS4 doesn't get a patch for the screen tearing, I'll be getting the XBO version instead, I friggin' hate screen tearing.

Heard DR4 is timed exclusive for 1 year.

DR3 is perma Xbone and PC.

Sweet, I might pick this up for my Xbox. Watching this kind of makes me want to play the series.

I had Dead Rising, but I never actually played the story. Just went on a zombie killing spree until I just got bored of the game.
