Creative director of Chivalry is working on this game, hope they can make the combat look as good

looks mediocre and UE4 visuals are even more disappointing. What is UE4 just UE3 running in DX11? Cuz its certainly looks like it, gg EPIC...

It's not the engine, it's what the devs do with the engine. Also, this is still in alpha so i'm sure by the time it's released it will look better.

Is this still in kickstarter? If so I am sold. I will pitch in for sure... looks badass. Let the haters hate... a lot of awesome games being imagined through kickstarter... I just wish they all had physical copies... however, my thinking is.. support now... first game digital only and if it is a big enough success the physical copies will come in the next game they make as a company. Need to learn more about this, but this looks MUCH better than 99% of the garbage I have seen so far.

*edit* sucks about PC only... however, it is cool it has 27 days still in KS. I will likely put something down on it if my PC can handle it.

i understand that but i was expecting UE4 to be truly next gen like UE3 was for 06. What i saw is UE3.0.2

Looks very nice.

Now that indie developers can buy cheap subscriptions to the latest engines (UE4, CryEngine, etc), we will see many goodlooking kickistarter games. This is just a beginning.

@Mr-Kutaragi: Its early prototype, conceptual footage. Proper animation among many other things wont have been added yet, and probably wont be for some time. I expect mo capped animations later down the line if the KS does well.

What do you mean ? So far we have seen no games making full use of the UE4 engine.

This. Hour of Victory, one of the worst looking games of last gen, used the same engine as Gears of War 3, which looked amazing.

They revised the video, they showed some more first person combat and third person. The guy needs to have a shield that is the only way I could see a protagonist like that actually survive a medieval zombie apocalypse. I can see some of the complaints a horde of zombies was on the guy hard to believe a 2handed sword is gonna protect you all of them, then when he shoved them back by kicking they all went back which is total BS.

This would be a great idea for a movie.

A serious undead survival flick that takes place during something like the black plague.

It's not nice giving good ideas to Hollywood.
