Days Gone delayed until 2019

First quarter is not even done and Sony already kicking games to 2019.

Well ****, I really dig the atmosphere it has.

First announce trailer had me all hyped.

But I dunno... the more time passes the less excited for this title I become.

I think it's a good thing because from the little I have seen of it it was going to Flop hard.

Good point. I think it will have more excitement around it at that time of the year.

Sony are masters at finding the perfect spot to release their games for maximum value this delay has nothing to do with the game being done they want an early 2019 game and thats that.

xbox throws stuff at the wall releases at weird times an flops sony doesn't do that.

I just wanted to point out how hilarious it is thinking DS will release in 2019

The environment and tone look too similar to The Last Of US 2. Maybe needs more time to distance itself from The Last Of Us. Finally, if they dont add co-op with this delay, might as well cancel the game.

It means I know of the game, and I am somewhat interested, but it is not making me hard right now. I need to see more from it. Perhaps a sexy dance? LOL

i may be one of the few people on gs who was actually looking forward to days gone. besides the zombie apocalypse setting i didn't really get the comparisons to tlou. it looked much more open and free flowing. i may have missed a trailer which connected the two in play style more explicitly. hope the delay is worth the wait

Better yet, Crackdown 3 was announced 2014, was supposed to release 2017...got delayed to 2018, and now it's March 2018 and it still doesn't have a release date yet.

Not really sure how xbox fans can criticize Sony on any type of release pattern they have on getting games out this gen when Sony has released more AAA and AA games last year than MS has this entire generation.

GOW and Yakuza 6, 2 AAA games, are releasing next month, MS only has Sea of Thieves.

The fact that MS only has State of Decay 2 and Crackdown 3 remaining as their confirmed AAA releases for the year, and Crackdown 3 still having no release date, MS fans should hope that their remaining 2018 games release at all rather than worrying about 1 game from Sony's AAA stacked lineup getting pushed back.

State of Decay 2 isn't AAA. It's a $30 indie game.

@NathanDrakeSwag: I'm being generous here. I'd say State of Decay is definitely AA material. Then again both Sea of Thieves and Crackdown are also only AA calibur IMO.

But for the sake of argument I'll list them as AAA because for all intent and purposes those are the highest caliber of games Xbox fans can expect outside of the excellent AAA Forza Horizon franchise, so I think it's fine blur the line to make the point.

Regardless of AAA or AA criteria, Sony still has the advantage in the area of released games of that quality so any arguments from xbox fans talking about released games gets a dunce hat for being least qualified in the room to speak on the subject.

Why do gamers keep on comparing Days Gone to The Last of Us? Game has nothing to do with TLOU, why and how are people still making these comparisons? Days Gone is a totally open world title with massive hordes of zombies, if anything, this looks like "The Walking Dead" more so.

A little effort and I bet I can find more that listed it as a 2018 release. Everyone here talks shit sometimes.
