Darksiders looks to be another game Wii owners wish for

Even though there are currently 14 reviews listed so far for Darksiders on Gamerankings.com the majority of the reviews are 8.6 and up, however i can't help but feel sorry for Wii only owners, if there are still any out there.

This game looks to be yet another classic AAA hit multiplat for 360 and PS3 and the Wii misses out yet again, and if i were a Wii only owner i'd be really pissed at Nintendo, they reaped enough benefits from the Gamecube and DS to put together a killer next gen system, but once again they chose to do there own thing.

So they put out a cheap hardware specced system and gimmicky motion controller, with nothing but party games and 1st party rehashes, and i really hope die hard Nintendo fans let Nintendo know they want the serious hardware and online support with their next console release.

I'm a Wii Owner and quite frankly, the only thing about Darksiders I see is a really boring looking game with an ugly main character. I'm sure some people desire the game and it will decent but I'm not losing any sleep over it to be honest. It doesn't interest me at all.

In all honesty, if I was a Wii only owner I wouldn't care at all.

There was literally only one sentence in that mini-rant that was actually about Darksiders. And if you really want to bring up a great PS3/360 game that comes out tomorrow, bring up Bayonetta.

I agree!! I've had a Wii now since launch, and the only good thing I can say about it is that it's reliable. Why the hell would someone spend $50 on a Wii game when you can spend $60 on a PS3/360 game.

I'd like to see a game LIKE Darksiders for the Wii, but because the system isn't HD, Developers would over look the system and not put the effort.

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, Sky Crawler and Tatsunoko vs Capcom all coming this month Wii owners don't care about Dark Zelda.

Also thats why most Wii owners have two console, it is pointless to be a one console owner this Gen.

Well I'm a Wii owner and I'm simply going to buy this game for PS3 and play it, no biggie.

But considering this game seems to borrow many elements from both Zelda and Metroid (and in the end probably won't be an overall stronger package), I think Wii only owners will get by just fine.

In all honesty, if I was a Wii only owner I wouldn't care at all.

Bingo, as a currently Wii-only owner, I can't say my interests in Darksiders are too high. Should I ever get the budget to pick up a PS3/Xbox 360, maybe I'll try it out (and maybe not). I can't really say I've thought too much about the game, until this thread brought it up, and even now, I'm not crying a river or anything about it. :P

Anyways, why would anyone be mad at Nintendo? If anything, they should be mad at themselves buying a Wii and expecting it to support everything the PS3/Xbox360 does and vice versa, especially if you knew from the get-go the system wouldn't be as powerful as the HD consoles. Nintendo did what it thought it should do, and as it turns out, their plan worked better than even they had hoped for. Contrary to popular opinion, a more powerful console wouldn't have guarnteed that every PS3/Xbox360 multiplat would have made it to the Nintendo console anyways, and if history is any indication, the Nintendo console would still be stuck with a lineup that's mostly first-party dominated and family-friendly oriented. Horsepower alone doesn't determine if a publisher/developer wants to make certain games on a certain system, especially if Nintendo's name is anywhere around it.

I think the sales of the Wii has already let Nintendo know what fans want, and while I suspect the next system to be more powerful than the Wii, I highly doubt Nintendo will be breaking its neck (and budget) to put together the most powerful system in the history of mankind for the sake of multiplats that would probably sell the worst on the Nintendo system, regardless of how powerful it might be.

There are way too many things incorrect about this statement, and I'm not even talking about your opinion.

Wii missing out on a lot of great multiplats in general...nothing that can't be solved by having a decent PC or pick up a 360.

Bayonetta received perfect scores from Eurogamer, Famitsu, Edge and 1up. But yeah, not a big deal or anything. :roll:

why would they be jealous?...they have Zelda and Metroid which is what Darksiders is influenced by.

because the art-style shares the look of a comic-book? because that's the only thing that even resembles WoW.

I look at the guy's sig wih Darkstalkers gameplay and just say Darkstlakers > Bayonetta.

Why do you have to antagonize other gamers? They know what they're getting into buying all the systems they have, and if they're intelligent they should understand the strengths and weaknesses of each platform.

Besides, Darksiders looks entirely generic to me, it looks like a game that would release the week after new years avoiding the holiday season where it would be largely ignored

I have a Wii and a PS3. I like my Wii more, and I am not getting Darksiders.

I wouldn't get this game either way, as it reminds me too much of WoW. x.x

well the art designer,Joe Madd,is a comic book artist who's known for his' distinct art,he worked on X-Men comics and even has his' own comic series published by dark horse,he's being doing this stuff since the 90's long before WOW...so if anything, Blizzard ripped him off

Annnywayyys.... the Wii misses out on multiplats. Disappointing definetely. Multiplats=Why I have a 360 (with the occasional exclusive of course), but still the Wii has its own nice library of upcoming games so the Wii gives me some pretty good gaming console.

Personally I don't wish for anything. In addition I am already backlogged in many great games.
