Cyberpunk 2077 somehow been awarded Game of The Year 13 times

....and its from Watch Mojo... Plus 12 other sites that we all probably never heard of. Congratulations to Cyberpunk for the amazing achievements.

Happy new year and hope this new gen give us another great year of games! 2020 has been superb in term of gaming for me.

*Also TLoU part 2 has crossed the 100 GoTY award mark according to gotypicks. Congratulations.

100 GOTY awards for TLOU II

Totally deserved!

Sad that a mediocre game like TLOU2 gets any awards when numerous games (including the buggy mess that is CP77) are better.

Alright already, critics! I'll download Hades. Everybody's been going crazy for it so I'll play it for myself.

Throw a rock and you will hit an outfit that will give someone an award. A game people want to hate getting GOTY doesn't mean anything just like a game people want to love getting an award doesn't.

Think for yourself, ignore the numbers, read the reviews.

I know, I know...this is SW, we "live by the scores, we die by the scores" but c'mon.

Hades is a great game!

Wow, nice. I thought Hades was stealing the show, but guess not.

Not everyone can recognize the pinnacle of excellence in this world. I jest, yeah, that's funny... Really enjoyed the game, but definitely wouldn't give it GOTY. Plus, those are a bunch of throwaway publications by the looks of it... One is even from Poland lol.

Also, WatchMojo are those people who do way too much narration for their videos.

They have to drag them out as long as they can to bring in the moneys. A lot of those list compilation videos are at least 10 min.

Yeah... It's why you get a lot of those 3 min+ videos on FB, that could easily be a minute or so... They start earning revenue after a certain time-marker or some such thing.

It's one of the better games of 2020, so it makes sense that it's picking up some awards.

In any case, Cyberpunk should definitely win an award for "game that attracted the most attention in 2020".

I mean, I haven't played many 2020 titles, but it's one of the most addicitve games I've played in recent years. So I'm glad it's getting some recognition through the backlash. It's got issues but I'm confident after 50 hours that this game will live fondly in my memory and be replayed with different builds/origins. And I almost NEVER touch open world trash a second time - even when I really enjoyed the core experience - because of the time sink.

I'm having fun with it, but goty? Really?

Not giving goty to TLOU2 should be illegal. What a game.

I prefer a buggy fun game (2077) than a trash can of a game that was TLOU2

The PC versio of CP is fine. My personal Goty, already 140 hours in on my third play through. TLOU 2 also deserves some GOTY awards.

Awards are for casual gamers to fap over.

Regardless of the quality it certainly was a memorable title same way Colonial Marines was, as a spectacular bomb. Not all bombs get luxury of being remembered.
