"We play at Full HD resolution - a fact that we first have to digest a little, with the RTX 2080 Ti in the Alienware representation computer a higher pixel density should be expected. DLSS is also enabled resulting into an internal render resolution even less than 1,920 × 1080 pixels (editors note: probably 720p). But ray tracing is also active, in our preview version in the form of shadows, ambient occlusion and indirect lighting. Based on our impressions at Gamescom 2018 with other RTX titles, they run significantly better after they officially release - whether it is Battlefield 5, Metro Exodus or Shadow of the Tomb Raider."

Console version first look:

LMAO consoles!!1!

That's rough. I really hope we get a solid RTX 3-series from Nvidia. I'm not a stickler for RT, as nice as it looks... I'd much rather focus on performance.

If the U.S does in fact get another stimulus check, I'll totally use it to purchase myself a nice RTX 3080 just for CP2077. (And most likely I'll use the rest to purchase PS5)

Is this a leaked Switch screenshot? I hope the motion controls of the Switch help these visuals because my eyes aren't a fan of them.

There is no Switch version at all and CDPR hasn't ruled out a possible Switch version much less this game will NOT run on Switch cause CP2077 is a total beast compare to Witcher 3.

Everything can be downscaled to a laughable point and then released to the public. Its on the go, Switch is fine 😊

@tormentos: this game is called progress, possibly the Crysis of our era. PC users relish at this shit. In the meantime, enjoy single digit frames.

Puddlegate all over again. TBF, there are some scenes that look worse than the 2018 version, but there certainly are some that look better.

- GPU: NVIDIA GTX1660S 6GB GIGABYTE

Be upgrading by Nov anyway, GPU is the only thing that needs to be new.

It will run it, but your GTX 1660S is a low-tier GPU. So, you will have to turn down settings and run it at 1080p or lower to try and get 60fps. Ray tracing is out of the question. The rest of your PC is very good.

Red Dead Redemption 2 and Assassin's Creed Odyssey are probably the closest games that I can think of for performance expectations. I expect CP2077 to be even more demanding though.

I'm the exact opposite. Will be getting an entirely new PC except for GPU, as I purchased a 1660 Ti half a year ago. Hopefully, it won't fail me with Cyberpunk.

Would like to replace my 1070 by a 3070, but if they go for $900CAD pre taxes, i'm not exactly sure how i'll afford that without selling my body on the streets. Even tho i overclocked everything by a lot, i just don't see a 1070 doing well in 1440p when metro exodus is already crushing that card.

My vega 64 struggles a 1440p, stuck at 60fps most of the time. Best to upgrade, even if that means getting a cheaper AMD alternative. A RTX 3060 will likely be a fair compromise for most people to be honest.

I hear ya. I have Vega 56, and it runs most of the current-gen ports in 1440p at 45-60 fps. Some games run perfectly fine in 4K (e.g. GTA5, etc).

But damn, I wasn't planning to upgrade soon.

@tormentos: may use PC's for other uses and can justify the additional cost as a result. The bonus of experiencing games in a better capacity is a bonus of course.

@tormentos: Just a little better? The difference will be far bigger than any difference between PS4 and Xbox One. Would you call the difference between launch PS4 and Xbox One, “a little better?” Of course you wouldn’t. I have 7 years of evidence on this forum.

Thank you, actually I'm playing RDR2 in high settings at it's ok, quite smooth.

I want to upgrade the GPU, but I don't have the money to buy a RTX 2080. Which GPU would you recommed? not so expensive, RTX 2060?

@galiualfre: personally I'd wait - you can see benchmarks on how CP runs on your current GPU (It might be fine, since they are trying to shoehorn this into being a cross-generation game for consoles), and also see the pricepoint of the next gen GPUs (and if they push down the price of 2000 series in a way that works for you).

You're right, thanks, I've recently build this rig and I wanted the best GPU but I must wait.

@galiualfre: I would definitely wait for the new GPUs from Nvidia and AMD releasing within a few months. They will offer better performance and value than what is currently available. Buy the best GPU you can afford after as that is the most important part for gaming. Like I said before, the rest of your PC is already very good. It just needs a good GPU.

Much better than a mid-gen console refresh that ran its console exclusive at 720p while looking at absolute sh*t and you can't do anything about it.

@galiualfre: Same as Bass said. I have a 2080 at the moment, and won't be looking to utilize it far into next-gen if it can be helped. If the jump is sufficient enough, go with a mid-price card from the new releases... Unless you want to spend the money and go high-end. I'll be going 3080/ti should the jump be sufficient.
