I'm so torn. Any other year this would be a 1st day pickup for me and I'd sink 100 hours into it real quick. But the thought that the experience will be better if I wait for an official next gen version keeps me from wanting to pull the trigger. The timing is unfortunate.
Am I the only one that doesn't have a problem with "crunch"? I mean, within reason, obviously. But I'm sure there are MANY industries that crunch to meet important deadlines. In my younger days I worked at a restaurant that renovated and planned for a big reopening. I don't think the devs should have spoken out against it when they did. I think that was their big mistake.
I don't get hyped for games like I use to but this definitely is my most anticipated game in years it will probably be my GOTY.
Month later you will be hating it my friend.
also Mafia remake disappoint me sadly.
Good!!! If only I can get me a RTX 3080/Ryzen 9 5900X before CP2077 releases but I'll settle for my RTX 2070/Ryzen 7 2700X instead. Either way, super duper hype to play it on GoG!

What makes you say that?

my friend, you are excited because of teh open world and resemble GTA.
you will be complain about clunky and janky gameplay, plus its ambitious and deep FPS/RPG hybrid.

Time will tell if I think the gunplay sucks as for it being a FPS/ RPG hybrid I have no issue with it in fact I like it.It gives the game more variety which I'm all for. As for the game resembling GTA I don't see it there's never been a futuristic GTA game.
Day 1 baby
considering taking a day or two off work for this which I NEVER do for games
I'm taking a 1 week off work for CP2077 and I don't do it that often for a game I'm hype but since I'm quarantine in my area which I can't go anywhere for a vacation, I'll settle for a stay-vacation.
Pre-ordered on GoG.com and ready to go. Wish I had a 3090 or at least a 3080, but I'm still waiting on the liquid cooled AIO variants before I make the plunge, not that I could even get an air cooled one if I wanted since there's zero stock anywhere. Guess I'll just have to make do with the 2080 Ti.
This just hit me. Demon's comes out a week earlier. Demon's is the kind of games i'll be playing for months to come, and i don't play more than one game at a time. This means i am skipping CP2077 on day one, and buying it month(s) after launch. Dayuuuuuuuuum. Who even skips day one CP2077, bro??? I think this is a very gangster move on my part tbh.
Nice! BG3 EA tomorrow and this in November! Things are looking good! Except of course if you are the population of whatever the island in ghost of tsushima is called( while typing this I realize it’s probably tsushima!) as their chance of ever being liberated from the mongols are looking worse and worse:)

They actually improved gunplay compare to previous footages. plus theres FEAR like slow mo gunplay moments.

Day one? I'm thinking about possibly skipping year one XD

You are not the only one.
As a web developer, i have experienced crunch time with several projects. It's not nice and it can get a toll on everyone, but i have learned it's unavoidable, specially in the software industry. However as long as people is getting paid and getting some time off to recover (and i don't mean everyone going on vacations at once, just taking some time off a few hours each day), it's perfectly fine.
At the end of the day this is a business and they need to pay salaries, and i rather have everyone working a few more hours each week than having to cut some heads because we had to delay the big project for several months so everyone could leave at 6.
Sadly, not everyone understand that side of the story.
Anyway ... i'm so hyped for this game. It may be the only full price game i buy this year.
Can anyone compare this game to another game for me? I want to get hyped but from what I've seen it's just not doing it for me.
I will have to wait for the patch as i've ordered a series X and want to play it best as I can. Would play on PC but my setup is getting a bit long in the tooth now. Wish the next gen patch was coming out for XSX the same day as release.
Cyberpunk's map has been leaked and its rather SMALL
With how vertical the game world seems to be, that's a huge map.

Depends on how much of that map you can traverse as there seems to be a lot of empty/dead space (especially the bottom of the map) unless you can visit every part of the map, then for me its on the small side.
It doesn't affect me either way as i'm not buying it, i was just posting it for people to look at.
Buy the PC version of it. console versions will always be cut down experiences.
Do what you want with your cash and don't be tellin' other's what to do unless you are gonna pay for it.
He's passing out "free" advice and you gonna get all mad at him just because he's suggesting PC and not on your favorite consoles? I'll be playing CP2077 on PC as well since Gatygun pointed it out it should be played on PC :)

CP2077 hasn't been released and how any of us can help you when it's not out yet? If you haven't been watching lots of latest gameplay trailers at this point, you weren't going to buy it anyway if you have to ask this question.
Edit: I been following this game since 2013 when it was first ever announced by CDPR from the first trailer and that should tell you I'm very excited after all these years of waiting.
