Crystal Dynamics Teases New Legacy of Kain Release

Crystal Dynamics posted a tweet of Raziel, teasing a possible upcoming Legacy of Kain release. Unknown if it's a new game or remaster

Of course the real question is will it be Xbox Exclusive (ish)?

A remaster probably.

I don't care what it is. The fact they're doing anything with the franchise makes me happy. I even played that fucking Nozgoth game in hopes it would encourage them to do more.

Just, please have Kain and Raziel in it, voiced by Simon Timpleman and Michael Bell (before he dies).

That would be amazing! I'll take it. First game was released with a lot of cut content tho. I'd like to see that make it into a remaster/rebbot whatever.

If it happens I hope they dont mess around with the artstyle/music/atmosphere

We've seen Lara twice already. It's time Kain and Raziel have a new turn to shine.

If they modernized it in the style of The Tomb Raider reboot then it's probbly better off dead.

Honestly I'd almost prefer a remaster announcement. That's a great series that I never finished and have always wanted to return to.

Considering what happened to Nosgoth, this is obviously going to be a remaster.

I liked Soul Reaver 2 the best. I hope they do more than just update the resolution and textures though but I doubt it. They'll probably just port the assets over to a new engine and make some tweaks like they did with the Turok remaster.

Hopefully it's faithful to the old games, which reminds me that I have bought them all on the summer sale but haven't played them yet.

I loved Blood Omen 2 back in the day, need to replay that ASAP.

Smells like a remaster to me, which is good by the way because, Defiance gave true closer to the series and the last thing I hate is a sequel to ruin what left a excellent closer for Legacy of Kain.

Who's to say they can't reboot?

If by chance this was gonna be a continuation, Crystal Dynamics gonna have to find someone voicing the Elder God since the original voice actor passed away years ago.

Reboots are expensive. Remasters aren't, and can help fund new games.

Tony Jay is my favourite voice actor. Megabyte from ReBoot, Frollo from Hunchback... man I miss that baritone.

it would be a good idea to do a remaster of the games. since if you did a sequel I think a lot of people would be lost. I dont know why they tried to do some MP game last time.

I would certainly take a remaster. Especially a proper one with overhauled graphics.

Tried to replay Soul Reaver recently and time has not been kind. I loved it on my dreamcast but I couldn't feel the same about it now.

I'm playing Blood Omen 2 as part of my Halloween gaming marathon, and time was sure as hell not kind to that game either (tank controls in it's design... just no).

Yet, this never stopped Square Enix from rebooting OTHER IP's from Deus Ex to Tomb Raider. And especially with that Final Fantasy and TR money, I think they can take the hit.

Would prefer a remake of the original.

Would love a pretty, modern looking version of the first one :)
