“You will craft amazing levels and play-spaces,” reads the level designer listing, “that offer varied and engaging objectives and opportunities for players to truly express their skills, mastery and personal playstyles.” Unlike the stealth-focused Alien: Isolation, Creative Assembly’s next sci-fi game may provide more choices in how to play.

This sound too interesting. Alien isolation was terrible and i hope this will be a good proper sci fi immersive FPS game.

really looking forward to see what they are doing.

It was good. Could have been better if they didn't stretch it out so much and wrote a better story and polished the gameplay.

Alien Isolation was boring and clunky.

This should be interesting. Alien: Isolation was absolutely brilliant. This studio has proved time and time again that it's full of world class talent.

"Immersive". I thought that term had been put to rest in marketing games.

Alien Isolation is the marmite of games! Truly loved or hated! Well at least it was finely crafted.

Those types of games, immersive, are usually saved for System Shock, Theif, and newest Prey.

Not really Alien Isolation.

Though I can see it.

But I would rather a true System Shock type Immersive game rather than just a scary one.

Aren't they working a tactical shooter? They were hiring people with experience around that. I wonder if it will be a scifi tactical shooter.

Alien Isolation was such a great move in the right direction in terms of immersion and gameplay. It suffered overall, but the initial concept was just outright great. Xenomorphs are stalkers, and Isolation threaded that into the gameplay. I'd be interested to see what they offer in terms of a Sci-Fi shooter... Hopefully it's not just outright run-'n'-gun like Doom... Unless it's as fun.

Cool. The engine they used for Alien: Isolation is obviously able to produce very nice looking games so it'll be good to see what they can do with it now.

Meh, they are among my favourite devs, but I'd like them to milk Total War forever. Still waiting for

Total War: 2193

Total War: Vietnam

Total War: WW2

Total War: B.C

Come on, make it happen!!!

Eh, I was hoping they'd make another hack and slash with giant battles like Spartan TW and Viking. Spartan was one of my favorite ps2 games, but doesn't seem so popular unfortunately.

The alien circled around you no matter how silent you were, turning the whole concept into annoying shit.

Okay so you played 1... wow. I'm a big fan, the franchise's still has a lot of historical periods to tackle. Plus they get released every 2 years, so don't know why compare is to COD of BF.

Also, Warhammer revamped the series massively and became the best selling total war.

I love it when a new aaa/aa budget immersive sim (deus ex, thief, cyberpunk, dishonered, bio/systemshock) is announced. My favorite genre!

I wouldn't call Alien Isolation an immersive-sim/fps.

It was a survival/horror.

XD

OK tell me what Shogun 2 is about. Tell me about time period and plot it covers. How many factions are there and what's your favorite unit in the game? Which faction did you play as.
