In anticipation of the recent Zelda game being released, i thought it would be nice to see where people prefer their Zelda games. Each has had its fair share of games, which do you think wins?

Sorry about the inconsistent sizing issues. Anyway i give it to console Zeldas, only because it has a stand-out title that puts it above all the others. But i think that the quality has been alot more consistant in the Handheld games.

Wow, if I had to pick, it'd be console Zeldas easy, but damn does the Zelda series have a lot of amazing games, on both consoles and handhelds

while the handheld zelda are really good, they just don't have the same scope of adventure like the console versions have.

edit: stupid mistake :P

I'm gonna give it to the console Zeldas. Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess and Wind Waker are three games that I have so many memories with.

Hmm... So the consoles versions aren't the same scope as the console versions you say? Interesting indeed... :P Sorry couldn't resist.

Anywho console versions are the better ones I'd say. Handhelds are great, but the Ocarina is a console Zelda and well what more needs to be said.

Console Zelda by a mile. I was never really impressed by the handheld versions, especially Phantom Hourglass.

Console Zeldas by a landslide. Only the oracle games were up to snuff with the console versions. Minish Cap was a good game in its own right, but the others(haven't played spirit tracks) are mehtastic.

I'm going to have to give it to the handhelds for Link's Awakening and the Oracle games. As for Four Swords...I've never played it, but isn't it A Link to the Past with four-player support? If so, a handheld Link to the Past is all the more reason to call the handheld the winner. Besides, I never really cared too much for any of the console Zelda games except A Link to the Past. And no, I didn't like Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask.

I wish the handheld versions would get away from the Windwaker graphics style and into the Link to the Past style.

At the moment, handheld. Although the consoles have Ocarina of Time, which is my favorite Zelda games. For me, Zelda is doing a better job on the DS right now.

The Oracles have always destroyed the rest of the Zelda line-up, and Phantom Hourglass felt a bit more unique than the console entry in the franchise this gen, so I'm inclined to say the handheld ones.
