Console gamers are you terrified?

I can not overstate how few fucks I give. this new GPU in no way effects my ability to play games. Why would I care?

Why would I be terrified? I pay $400 for a console that lasts me 5-7 years. You pay $3000 for a graphics card when 99% of your games will never take advantage of it anyway. My console games will be so damn similar to PC graphics I won`t even notice it. Sorry, but maxing out terrible RTS and MMO games does not impress me. Hell it`s 2014 and the vast majority still can`t even reach crysis graphics from 2007. All that power going to waste.

Yeah, similar except for more lag, pop-in, low/medium graphics settings, low FPS, low AO, low anti-aliasing, low end post-processing effects, low-end everything by the time proper next gen games roll along. But hell, maybe if you sit far enough away from your TV after chugging a beer or two you wont even notice it. Doesn't mean gaming enthusiasts dont.

I dont know why you're bring up RTS and MMO's either. PC is all encompassing and we get pretty much everything only difference is it's always better than on console. I'm sure your handful (being generous here) of high quality first party exclusvies make it all worthwhile though... lol

That's nothing to be terrified about except laugh at all the stupid people who actually spend money on that ridiculous price. Sorry but $250 is where I draw the line for graphic cards, I'm perfectly fine with my GTX 760 tyvm.

Excellent point. Most of the games I play are not demanding at all and sure as hell doesn't require an i7 or gtx780. The Witcher 3 will be the only exception. I may upgrade for that game because I'm enjoying the series right now.

No, most console gamers will not be scared because most console gamers couldn't give a rat's arse what the hardware under the hood is. They still will not care in 5 years time and will still continue to claim that the games on console are still comparable, visually, to those on PC because they will not have experienced PC gaming first hand. Only what they see on Youtube videos (if they even watch games on Youtube videos). Exactly the same as the claims at the end of the last generation.

No, I play everything so it doesn't bother me. I'm about to build a new PC anyways. Just trying to get all my specs in order.

In reality, it is actually cheaper to game on PC in the long haul. You pay $399 for the console, subscription fee, $60 games.

With the PC only getting sloppy seconds, I should ask "are PC gamers scared"...
