Confirmed Xbox One X Enhanced Games

Major nelson has posted a list of games that are confirmed to get Xbox One X enhancements. What does that actually mean? Who knows. Maybe it'll have just the highest quality checkerboards

And to think, Breath of the Wild will be better than all of that...

They added RotTR on Twitter. Assuming it's the same enhancement on PS4 with 3 option modes.

Aren't all the games supposed to be enhanced on the 1X automatically? At least that's what lemmings have been saying...

Dang, thats a pretty big list. Plus might have potential for more PC exclusive games.

Wait.....huh? You mean to tell me that only some games will be enhanced by the X1X, and not all of them? Tell me again, what is the point of this console?

I'm really curious about those COD and Destiny 2 marketing deals. Notice those games are not on the list. They either can't market that there is a graphical difference, or there is no difference altogether. Things are getting interesting

Strange.........I remember what devs do with power is up to them. They clearly said all games will load faster (we'll see about that), so by that every game does benefit.

Disappointed Dirt 4 isn't there, I recently started playing it, amazing game.....hopefully they add it.

Glad that Diablo 3 and Path of Exile are on that list

Activision is still under contract with Sony's marketing so it's possible Destiny 2 & Call of Duty: WW2 can't comment on how will Xbox One X receiving any Enhancement.

Edit: I would guess Bungie is still cool with MS, I can't see them not taking any advantage of X1X specs.

Yeah, but these are ones that will natively be Xbox One X enhanced

If the original game is capped at 1080p and 30fps then it would need to be patched to allow for higher resolutions and and FPS

otherwise the extra power would just go towards making the game at 1080p and 30fps all the time

But they already said that down sampling is a thing. This is what I laugh at. Do they have to reiterate that at every event until launch?

I don't even care much about the special enhanced games, that's more of a welcome addition to me. I care more about the blanket brute force enhancement for all games not on that list.

Must be a typo because it was on the list last month.

What? If the game renders higher than the output of the TV i.e. a 1080p TV with a game rendering at 4K it will automatically force down-sampling, and with 4K TV's the same would apply if a game were rendering at 6K, it would down-sample to 4K etc.

So pretty much any game with dynamic resolution should hit targets n not drop res or fps and when you die in Witcher 3, you wont have time to run for a snack/bathroom break before getting back into action(faster loading).

If downsample requires a higher resolution, and at E3 2017 MS made a point of stating downsample will be seen on games, why would anyone believe ALL games get this benefit, if as you say they must run at a higher res? Like me, he must not have known this fact of downsample.

So with 2 1/2 months until release there are now 118 enhanced games confirmed, that's essentially what the Pro has in total and it's been out for a year...

BC XBO games has max AF override and fps/resolution targets being reached. XBOX ONE X ENHANCED = programmer intervention improvements.

Microsoft is doing a much better job than Sony did of getting developers on board with Xbox One X specific upgrades. Sadly I don't think that'll be enough to make the thing sell well. Nobody is going to buy a $500 console with $250 options out there. It's just not going to happen.

Gamers are cheap and usually choose the cheapest path. Most don't give a shit about resolution, framerate or graphics when it comes down to actually buying the machines. They buy what's affordable and has the games they want to play. Nothing more.

Don't fall into the trap of thinking the internet community is an accurate representation of the market for consoles and console games. It's not. The fact that CoD, Madden, and FIFA basically outsell every other game that comes out each year is proof enough that internet loudmouths don't mean shit.

Not native 4K = Not interested

@Wasdie: I don't think Microsoft is expecting that anyway... They've been downplaying the possible OneX success from the start by saying it's a premium device, and that the OneS will still sell much more

From what I've read. ARK is giving gamers an option on the Xbox One X. 1080p & 60 frames or 4K & 30 frames. Wonder if the same would follow for other games because choices like this are great for gamers to be able to choose what they prefer. I know it's all up to the developers ultimately...

I'm mainly curious for The Witcher 3 and Final Fantasy XV. 2 games I've waited for a while to play...
