CONFIRMED: Wii U Will Support Two Tablet Controllers At A Time

Right on the back of the confirmation that the Wii U is substantilly more powerful than the current generation systems, and a true next gen system, and right after the leak of the new Wii U controller, which features clickable analog sticks and analog triggers comes another great confirmation. From the good folks at GAF who are in the know:

I double-checked to be sure.

"So far we know for sure that can be simultaneously connected 4 Wii Remote Plus, or at least 2 WiiU controllers (but not learned if they can be linked together, ie 4 Wii Remote Plus and 2 WiiU controllers at the same time)."

Even if they cost a lot, its still nice to have the option. Plus everyone can still use Wii remotes.

This was never an issue. The problem is that you have to have access to another console to use it.

Not surprised at all, i heard about that a wile ago, always knew it gonna be confirmed. They did a lot of things to make the 3DS get trough its hellish situation, that's what i like about Nintendo. They go all out to make it work, learning from mistakes. Next E3, i'm gonna see the true next gen console, the prior one was a mistake.

now you can play madden and hide your plays. cant do that on pc.

Maybe Nintendo showed the console early so that they could get everybody's opinion on it, and perfect everything in the following year.

I don't know, it's about not showing enough which was the mistake here. I remember the Wii U controller being the main thing (it's features and all that), i can understand why they chose that direction, but the vagueness of this caused people to think that it was just a sort of add-on (tbh, i don't know how the hell people thought that, wen news clearly said it was a new system). Appart from a bunch of devs showing their support and two tech demos, E3 was.. i wouldn't call it a mess, the more appropriate word is underwhelming.

But, i think they know, just like they knew how to fix the situation with the 3DS. They ain't ignorant, next E3 is wen we gonna see what this system is trully capable of.

Well, if true, that's very good news. When it was announced last year that you could only connect one Wii U controller at a time, I was kinda disappointed. Now the question is, how much will each new tablet controller cost? Should be interesting to see (Probably not at E3 though).

Not the Four, Six, or Eight Players I was hoping for, but Two players is better than one that's for sure.

Don't think you would need for of the tablet controllers to play SSB... Just use 4 classic controllers.

Things are getting better and better for Wii U now I'm really interested but I always get a bad feeling when things looks too good androsy for a new system lol everyone expected PS3 to be great and tanked for 1.5 years, everyone expected 3DS to be great and it tanked for half a year and everyone expected PSV to be great and its tanking till now hopefully Wii U will do well.

for all the talk about next-gen innovation out of ninty they sure have a problem with understanding what practical in a gaming machine. i came here to kill monsters, solve puzzles and race douches named evil x around a track. i did not come here to play with crackpot ideas and half baked toys.
