That's an extraordinarily good mix this month- I finally get to try Dillon's Rolling Western, and holy ****, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Might as well download that in the leadup to A Link Between Worlds.

Much better game selection than Microsoft's lolworthy Games With Gold, that's for sure.

Games with Gold is offering Iron Brigade this month. That's legit as hell.

I'd agree if A Link To The Past were playable on my 3DS.

I refuse to buy anything digitally from Nintendo, and I already have enough copies of A Link to the Past and Metroid.

Good thing you don't have to buy anything here.

How is that better than XBL? You can get 12 months of gold for $30 and they do good weekly sales. I would rather have Iron Brigade than the 10000th re release of metroid

It's better because it is

a) Free

b) Offers a better selection of games

And way to go focusing on Metroid. You can get Dillon's Rolling Western if you want, for example. Microsoft is literally giving you indie trash or titles that everyone owns after having the audacity to charge you $60 for the pleasure.

@charizard1605: Yeah, I realized I should have wrote "get" instead of "buy," but that's my general stance on DD with Nintendo. As for the game selection, I'm still not impressed, regardless.

That's a fair stance considering their purchases tied to hardware policy, but when I get something for free, I can't exactly complain regardless.

12 months of gold is $30 if you buy from places outside of Microsoft which every sane gamer does. The Nintendo online is free for a reason and $30 is nothing for a year when you do get free games and good weekly sales. Iron Brigade > all those games you just listed that have been released on multiple platforms. Can you even play your Wii VC games on the 3DS yet?

Eh, I'll try my hand on the modern one first :P If I do end up liking it (which, going by gameplay alone it seems I will) I'll try to play the older titles :)

Actually, don't bother. Iron Brigade is a much better game than it, and you can get it for free by subscribing to a $30/year (with stipulations) service.

Not really, because I have to use the points I got from buying something else, and I refuse to spend them on digital Nintendo games.

Wish Link to the Past was on the Wii U virtual console, but due to common sense, that is unreasonable for Nintendo's standards

It'll come, they're slowly updating the full VC catalog for the Wii U (plus you can always play Wii VC games on Wii U using Wii Mode anyway).

But yeah, they're inexcusably slow on the uptake with this.

But I am not paying $30 a year to get Iron Brigade. I get A Link to the Past for free. That is why Club Nintendo Rewards>>>Games With Gold in my opinion.

With Battlefield 4 I was trolling.

With XBLG, I am focusing on the general selection of games, not just Iron Brigade.

Jesus, what is it with you all choosing to focus on just one game above all others?

Was just telling a friend today that Nintendo needed to release A Link to the Past on Wii U VC or 3DS VC to get more fans into A Link Between Worlds. While this isn't that, I'll take a free copy of the game any day! I've never beaten it, and well my DS Lite's R-button has gone bad so I can't play my GBA copy. I'll be nabbing this up right quick.

Alright! I can get both Zelda AND Dillion's Rolling Western!

I already have Metroid on my 3DS. Haven't played A Link to the Past since the Gameboy Advance Re-Release.

Well you can still play a Link to the Past on the Gamepad, though Miiverse and Gamepad controls are disabled, no big for me because I have the controllers.

Metroid's good too, though you probably should have gotten Super Metroid when it was on there.

I'd agree if A Link To The Past were playable on my 3DS.

I don't understand why the 3DS Virtual Console selection is so limited. Especially with games they've already released on Wii.

The thought of being able to access the entire Virtual Console library on the go makes me moist.
