Last year the same firm investigated THQ regarding securities violations on the uDraw game tablet, and is speculated to have contributed to their demise.

I hope it gets ugly for EA. What has gone on with BF4 on all platforms is inexcusable.

Battlefield 3 was my go to game on Ps3, BF4 is my go to on PS4.

Saying that you hope it ends bad for them is terrible.

They had some problems which sucks, but it's still the best FPS on the market ATM.

Blah blah blah. You put out a broken product and take people's money in exchange and offer no easy way for refunds, you should get penalized.

"Had" doesn't even quantify what's going on. The game is still broken on consoles (PS4, One). It still errors out of large Conquest maps on a nightly basis. It still corrupts SP game saves. To this day.

If EA gets hit in the pocket books, they'll respond by not forcing developers like DICE to push out a product before it's baked. Financial penalties are the only way to correct corporate bad behavior, and if you don't see behavior in need of correction at EA, we don't have anything else to talk about.

I'm more worried about Dice, bioware and their other devs than EA itself.

You're right, it does look like they were pushed to release before it was ready, probably EA wanting to beat COD to the market and try to win market share. The single player game corruption has happened to me TWICE, which is more than irritating. But that hasn't stopped me from putting over 50 hours into the multiplayer since the PS4 launch.

They released a game before it went through proper QA just to get it out before Call of Duty Ghosts.

They deserve it. Their whole Premium thing also shits on those that bought the regular game.

I told people it was going to be a rush job.

Late beta, had same problems of BF3 beta. Even though BF3 had beta earlier, they still had tons of freaken bugs. Game was a mess for months.

Now the same thing happened again. Maybe next time, hype for the next BF wont be so high and people will actually wait 6 months for a working game.

I'm curious how whatever they did say constitutes securities fraud, in so far as they attempted to deceive investors and profit on their losses. I don't think anybody in here has a clue and it'd be enlightening to know. Since nothing was ever mentioned my guess is the law firm is just fishing for a frivolous lawsuit they hope EA will settle instead wasting legal resources battling.

This'll be a minimal loss for EA. They released a damn shitty product, but these class-action suits do dick all, as they seem to be staggered for a group payout. EA will be fine, and continue to be a cock.

There's a difference from falling through the map once in the blue moon to game crashing 4-5 times in a hour, game saves not saving, modes being disabled , stability issues

and this is in a vocal minority, the same situation with many games. Law suits just make these people look like dumbasses

These lawsuits are not always dumb.... They end up costing the company millions, Maybe they think twice next time around

Honestly bought BF4 at launch and the online and other stuff is broken not just on PS4 I've heard XB1 also, I asked for compensation and got none paid 60 bucks of my hard earned money for a broken down game, EA and Dice need to do something about this
