Cheap, SAD Xbox tops BF sales charts in the UK

Congrats to Xbox for racing to the bottom but coming out on top. The Xbox One S All-Digital whooped the PS4 and even the mighty Switch this Black Friday in the UK with prices as low as £99 for the previously ignored machine. The Switch is still on top in revenue.

Microsoft's device was heavily discounted during the Black Friday sales period, with the Xbox One S All-Digital consoles cut to £110 in Tesco, with £129.99 offers at other retailers. The machine bundled in digital versions of Sea of Thieves, Minecraft and Fortnite, which is why all of those games charted so well in the software charts.

More than 100,000 Xbox One machines were sold last week, according to retailers, which is just slightly behind what the console managed during Black Friday 2018. The All-Digital version was the most successful edition of them all.

Sony did not counter with deals as aggressive. Both Sony's and Microsoft's consoles are still down drastically YoY, while Switch is up.

Not really surprising given how cheap it is. Not a system that I would get myself as I prefer getting my games on physical formats but I can certainly see it’s appeal for those who don’t.

@i_p_daily: Well thankfully we’ll have at least one more generation of systems that will be using physical media. Hopefully more to follow. I don’t really see games going all digital anytime soon. We still have music and movies on physical formats and they are much smaller sizes then games.

Unfortunately it went over benji's head, it is a crime, but he's a jezebel so in time he will cherish the day that we payed attention to him on here. I mean the more I beat up on Benji its never as good as the first time, he's had many a killer blow from me so I can feel no pain from his silly little comments because in the end he will see the pearls of my wisdom, and will be travelling the long hard road to room 55 only to realise why we can't live together.

£99 is a great deal should have really picked one up myself. Definitely a decent 2nd console for the bedroom.
