OMG... the most anticipated game of this gen is given away super cheap to PC Gamers. It's just 40 bucks if you pre-order from GOG. And it costs even less if you already own Witcher 1, 2 or both. But here comes the boom, if you already own Witcher on Steam, you can actually redeem your Steam product code on GOG and get the additional discount. So the pre-ordering price for me now is just 38 bucks.

Somebody thinks that boosting about owning a $1,500 PC will validate his life and feels the need to make sure we all understand.

The thread isn´t about owning a $1,500 PC though. It´s about Witcher 3 being 38 bucks for PC Gamers -_-

$1,500 is a bit high. You can probably max that game on a $900 rig at 1080p.

Or you could spend $400-$500 on a console plus $50 per year for the "privilege" of playing with other people, then you get the honor of buying overpriced games that rarely go on sale.

Even if you only buy one AAA game per month at full price, over the life of your console you'll save enough to more than pay for a high end gaming PC and a couple of major upgrades. But by all means console gamers, stick to your closed, restrictive, and overpriced ecosystem with inferior games and grossly underpowered APU-based hardware. My video card from two years ago has more graphics processing power than the PS4, and double that of the Xbox One. Consoles are a straight up joke.

The PC is the superior gaming platform in every possible aspect, those that claim otherwise are simply uneducated, misinformed, or are lying to themselves to justify their console purchases.

It is a nice deal and I do like cd project ways. but i be buying on console with my discount with bestbuy for $47 bucks and in 2 weeks i'm done I resale it for $40-45 lol. i been getting little lucky with bestbuy 50%+ trade ins lately, I traded in titanfall when I got watchdogs and they gave me $44 bucks lol. Not a bad deal at all

But guys.... PC gaming is too expensive!

I picked up Titanfall a month after its release for 30$ on amazon and BF4 a month after release for 25$ on origin... There's too many sales and not enuff monies.

Well at least GoG.com acknowledges the fact that currencies are different around the world and aren't the same as US dollar. Aussies get $20 to spend on GoG because the price is $20 higher than the American price.

here i am in new zealand, used to buying with american dollars - with the witcher 3 gog assumes i'm australian - and tries to charge me an australian dollar price which ends up equating to 25% more than if i paid the american price.

Technically, yes the PC is superior to any console platform in most aspects.

That said, it's Achilles's Heel is the huge inventory of AAA console exclusives you can't play on PC. Then again, PC has many exclusives of its own.

It's really a matter of what genre you prefer. Some are better on PC, others on console.

JRPGs, platformers, 3rd person action/shooters.

Simply because a lot of the best titles in each of those genres aren't available on PC.

Developers make windfall profits off of things like Steam sales, even when games are 75% off or more. Just ask any indie dev who has games on Steam.

Developers make zero dollars on used game sales. Nice job taking money out of their pockets and supporting companies like Gamestop (aka Satan).

Of course they will treat PC gamers fairly . They are PC centric developers and now they have gog galaxy and much like Valve , they need to treat their core fans fairly to make it successful like Steam .

A hard disc copy of a game I can take to a friends house (of which I do at times).. vs. a Digital copy of something tied to a PC (A $800-1000 PC). Yea I'll pay a bit more for the software.. I guess.

You can share your games on steam now . Same goes for GOG .

actually it's tied to an account, not a PC. Also, since this thread is about GOG and CDPR, their games come DRM free.
