Who the heck is gonna buy an led gaming handheld in 2022? People aren’t that stupid. Go buy you a new Oled IPhone. It’ll play games 10x better than this outdated tech.

Yes. The Deck is outdated. The Switch has no similar problem. Only the screen dictates if a device is outdated or not. If you prefer a PC over an iPhone for gaming, you are stupid.

@xantufrog: I prefer to play my pc games properly and not on a 720p screen. You might not like my opinion and that is fine, sales will say whether or not people share that view. So no it isn’t a ridiculous thing to suggest! It isn’t objective like you seem to think it is.

@com2006: the resolution is irrelevant. It's the ppi*viewing distance. It's a tough question to answer without holding it, but will the pixels be 4x as noticeable on the deck vs a typical 1440p monitor? Almost certainly not. How do I know? Because I have a switch and a 1440p monitor to compare with.

The Steam Deck and the Nintendo Switch serve different markets. The Deck is for people who want a portable PC. The Switch is for people who want a portable video game console.

We all know that the Switch is a beast and cant be stopped in sales....

But everyone with 100+ games on steam should be getting a Deck. Ive been waiting for this moment since the first time I heard the SteamBoy rumors.

Massive software library and excellent backwards compatibility are going to be the Deck's biggest advantages. The fact that you can hook up a mouse, keyboard, and monitor and use it like a desktop PC is pretty cool, too, but I doubt it is any where near capable enough to replace your desktop, although the idea is strangely appealing.

Well yeah I expect it to run Switch games way better than the Switch. kek

how exacty? Even the series S/X can't do it, and trust me ive looked into it. How will a much weaker deck do it when xbox, a console with the power of the geforce 2080 can't?
