Wow, just wow.

Call of Duty WW2 has stormed the UK chart, with sales up significantly on last year.

WW2 launch sales were up by an impressive 57 per cent on 2016's unloved space-based installment Infinite Warfare. It's an impressive stat, although one which goes to show just how much last year's COD missed the mark.

Well yeah, WW2 was hype.. people are bored of the modern setting, BF1 set that in motion.

Unfortunately, the MP in WW2 is identical to all previous CODs, they've made no progress, still uses the modified Q3 engine.

Such a shame. It looks like the PC numbers are down at least?
Wait this is just for the UK, so that doesn't mean much.

Considering how terrible of an idea it was for CoD to go into out of space, this should surprise no one.

I'm not surprised at all and I have been predicting before the game was even announced that if they returned to WWII, it would be the best selling Call of Duty game in years by far.

It was obvious that people were just sick and tired of how overdone the futuristic setting has been in FPS games in recent years and were ready to go back to WWII. Even I'm thinking about buying this Call of Duty game because of the WWII setting.

It was time for WW2 again. Rehashed into the ground in the PS2 era but it's been what, a decade since a quality WW2 FPS game? At least on consoles, I'm sure there's PC ones somewhere in the depths of Steam...
