Call of Duty: Black Ops PS3 owners asking for full refund
Despite selling like gangbusters across all platforms, some Playstation 3 owners aren't happy with their version of Call of Duty: Black Ops and have started an online petition demanding a full refund.
PS3 owners complain of sub-par graphics and online play with Black Ops. Demand money back.
The complaints center around the PS3 version of the game being sub-par compared to the Xbox 360 version. According to the petition, Call of Duty: Blacks Ops has "sub-par graphics, buggy software and less [sic] features" and that Treyarch "created a unfinished, sloppy and degenerate game for the Playstation 3 console when the Playstation 3 has games that out shine the Call of Duty Franchise today."
The petitioners also point to a recent article from productreviews.net claiming that the PS3 version was "gimped" compared to the Xbox 360 by not allowing gamers to sign into more than one account while playing the game in split-screen. A feature that the Xbox version has.
For its part, Treyarch has already released a number of patches and server updates to fix issues with not only Black Ops for the PS3 but the PC and Xbox 360 versions too.
The number of individuals demanding a refund for their PS3 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops has reaced nearly 3,800 signatures. Whether or not Activision takes these demands seriously while CEO Bobby Kotick and his accountants look at the monstrous sales figures looks doubtful.
