Breath of the Wild 2 or Cyberpunk 2077 - what are you more hyped for?

Edge to Cyberpunk. I’m a sucker for the cyberpunk setting plus it’s a fresh franchise.

Haven't had a chance to play Breath of the Wild yet. It's 70 euro. Not paying that for any game, especially one that is 3 years old.

Zelda is childish game so I pick Cyberpunk obviously. you cant compare both of them.

It's Zelda, it's a well known franchise I been playing for 2 decades, I'm siding with Cyberpunk 2077 cause it's a new IP game by CDPR and they been working on that game for the past 7 years. That game should be getting more support and hey, I love sci-fi settings more than Fantasy. So CP2077 gets my vote ;)

For me it cyberpunk I'm burnt out on Zelda after playing a majority of the remakes on 3DS. I like the look of the world of cyberpunk and have faith in cd projekt red.

Did you play Breath of the Wild?

Voted Cyberpunk because it's just around the corner. BotW 2 will come out god knows when.

Intrigued by Breath of the Wild 2, because Nintendo sometimes experiment with the Zelda formula when they iterate from an existing entry instead of building a new game from scratch. See: Majora's Mask and Link's Awakening. It's like they just said; "right, now that we got the standard 'meet the princess, save the kingdom' business out of the way, here's an episode of 'Twin Peaks' in game form, and a Groundhog Day time loop where you're a nobody trying to stop the moon from destroying a city."

But it's still Cyberpunk for me.

Breath of the Wild 2 for me although I am very hyped for Cyberpunk 2077 and will definitely be picking that up at launch.

Zelda. Cyberpunk might be legit, but cdpr has made 3 games, none of them have good gameplay.

Breath of the Wild certainly has its short comings, but it’s genuinely fun to play. And I say this as someone who thinks Ocarina and it’s ilk are bad video games. So I have no nostalgia or fanboyism for this franchise.

Have to go with Breath of the Wild, that near future setting of Cyberpunk 2077 ain't my cup of tea.

Zelda by a mile. I've no plans to buy Cyber Punk.

I'm hoping with the success of the Witcher show that a 4th game will be made.

Zelda. Cyberpunk will have a lot of the same clunky, tedious garbage as all the other open world AAA games. CDPR doesn't make good gameplay mechanics.

Zelda for gameplay, but Cyberpunk for the story/RPG elements.

I'll no doubt get BOTW2. Im really not that into AAA FPS these days so ill wait till after its release and see what the reception is for Cyberpunk.

Couldn't care less about BOTW2. Looking at the hype behind it, it seems like nobody cares either. CP2077 will most likely be top 5 games of the last 20 years.

Wasn't really all that into BoTW, although I did only put a limited time into it. Cyberpunk is definitely more exciting for me.

@Juub1990: eh sure, it’s at least unique. It has two of the franchises better dungeons, but it’s still the same wack combat, boss routine, and the way items work.

The best change for BOTW is how the items you do get are actually versatile and have synergy with each other. The Ocarina styled games are often wasteful, and I find MM similarly is also. But it just actually has other cool shit.

Cyberpunk on the virtue that we actually have information on that game.

BotW2 however, could hype me up like crazy when we know more.

Zelda, I’ve been playing this shit, in some form or another, since I was a little kid. I don’t care how many gameplay improvements or innovations they introduce, the premise is the same. I can dress up my 30+ year old girlfriend in various clothing to keep it fresh, it ain’t never going to be as fresh as a new chick. No matter how poor she is in the sack, the excitement and breath of fresh air from true novelty will compensate. I’ll make it work.

Zelda. Even if it was just the tired old formula again, would have more faith than I do in a CDPR game.

It being an iteration on BotW makes it a lock. And like @madrocketeer said, Nintendo has done some weird shit with direct Zelda follow ups. Could even end up like a SMG2 situation where Nintendo decides to flex on the whole industry with a game design bible, though I'm not getting my hopes that high yet.

Cyberpunk could turn out amazing, just need receipts first.

Didn't really get into BOTW, so I'd go with Cyberpunk.

Unless Nintendo change BOTW2 enough to entice me, but can't see that happening.

Botw2 as First person games tend to be not atmospheric, badly paced and not immersive.

I play PC way more, and I still say Zelda > Cyberpunk.

This is the first time CDPR makes an FPS. They can **** up. Their gameplay have always been so-so as well. They can **** up there as well. That, coupled with the fact that we haven't seen a whole lot of Cyberpunk, and the fact that Nintendo makes games with insane amount of care, Zelda > Cyberpunk.

But i rather play a mature game than a kiddy game. just saying.
