Sony’s struggling to keep a lid on Blu-Ray. First we hear it’s been cracked by diligent hackers, and now they’re salting Sony’s wounds by uploading the Hi-Def goods to BitTorrent websites.

The first title to fall under the flag of piracy is none other than Ice Age 2. Proving hackers aren’t the shady characters their made out to be, just big softies after HD giggles without the hefty price tag.

Private BitTorrent network HDBits.org has the dubious honour of hosting the first Blu-Ray title, although we doubt it’ll be long before other sites get in on the action.

We’d never condone piracy. It’s illegal. It’s wrong. And if you’re planning on downloading Hi-Def content, it’s a big job too. Ice Age 2 weighs in at a troublesome 22-gig.

What with the lack of porn coming to Blu-Ray too, you have to ask yourself, is all this cloak and dagger downloading really worth it?

I thought they(HD-DVD & BD) got cracked last month? hMM maybe it was just HD-DVD? Anywho...It was bound to happen. I had read a couple of months back, they figured out how to get PS3 games & BD movies loaded onto the HDD through Linux.
