Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon a classic 8 bit Castlevania-Style Prequel to Bloodstained Ritual of the Night Revealed

So this game Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon which will be released before Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is suppose to be a prequel to the game which looks and plays like the classic 8 bit Castlevania games.

Not gonna lie I find this game way more interesting then the actual Bloodstained because I really like the classic Castlevania more then the Metroidvania ones that started with Symphony of the Night. Hope they make a 16 bit style game like in Super Castlevania 4 one day.

That's pretty cool. So it's like they're making a new NES Castlevania and a more modern one. I keep forgetting about this game coming up, but it's been in development for so long... Now I can understand why! Lots of good stuff to look forward to with Bloodstained.

Yeah definitely getting it but it seems a little too barebones even compared to some of the older classics, but it really doesn't matter it's more to support this entire endeavour and the game I am really excited about, which is Bloodstained. Also, Castlevania-Inspired, Rogue Like "Dead Cells' is done with early Access and is releasing in August. Sweet stuff, 3 games in the span of a few months

Still waiting on that Switch version of Bloodstained.

Looks great, much better than the main Bloodstained game. I prefer Classicvania over Metroidvania

I don't think this is going to be a prequel anymore, but it's a cool side game nonetheless, plus it's "free" for backers too. I'm a fan of Inti Creates, so I'm looking forward to this as well as the new Gunvolt game.

Yeah, I don't love the art style for bloodstained. This is more interesting IMHO.

This looks cool, but honestly, the visuals are a little above 8-bit consoles' capabilities so it's kind of cheating. Heh. I look forward to it though.

I had absolutely no interest in the main Bloodstained game, but I'm definitely interested in this one. The Castlevania series went downhill for me after they went in the Metroidvania direction. Classic Castlevania is way better.

If they made a sequel to Symphony of the Night, I would definitely throw money at the screen.

It sucks that they haven’t got codes out to backers yet, because this was one of the stretch goals. I paid $100 each to back the Switch and PS4, for a total of $200, and my codes for this still haven’t been delivered. Meanwhile, people who didn’t back the Kickstarter at all are happily playing it while backers are left behind to wait!

I backed the steam and ps4 version, so I got one of my codes. The game is alright. I haven't had much experience with the 8 bit Castlevanias, but I'm having fun for what it is despite hardcore fans calling it too easy. The soundtrack is probably the best thing it has going for it.
