Blizzcon: Blizzard's NEW I.P! Sci-fi FPS!

Straight from blizzcon! It seems to have the charm and class variety of TF2! hell even more than that, this may be a proper high quality TF2-like-FPS with MOBA-like character variety looking good! havn't been excited about anything Blizz in years... but this looks fantastic!

Honestly though I think they should just drop HOTS and work more on this. So far it looks like a far more interesting take on the FPS and MOBA genres, where HOTS is just dumbed down DOTA2 in the Starcraft 2 engine.

Put me in the holy crap that's disappointing crowd. Seriously Blizzard you've fallen so far from grace. Warcraft, Diablo, Starcraft used to be masterpieces and now they are pumping out garbage. MOBA arena shooter... are you kidding me?

No doubt it will do amazingly well as a F2P / TF2 clone. Not interested in it myself.

I hope it's not F2P. Regardless if it's P2W or not. After playing Dota 2 for like 2 years I can confirm tha F2P essentially guarantees your game a cancerous community. I'm liking the whole "exxagerated classes" trend going on. Like in Evolve. If the classes are interesting and have distinct visual designs, it makes the game much more enticing imo.

now THAT is the defintion of "MEH". "Oh look, another point in click RTS version 4 with a story that will contradict WoW's plot".

@MBirdy88: no. I wanted them to create a story driven masterpiece that is true to the Blizzard legacy and not a pointless arena shooter. Where did I say point and click? I didn't you did, learn to read.

There are saturday morning cartoons with better plot lines than what Blizzard writes.

I hope its free and follows DOTA/TF2's business model... I don't care if people are assholes... they are in any online game, paid or not. I care more about population than that.

Saw the gameplay trailer. This... this is first person MOBA done right. Outside the initial attempt on Diablo 3, Blizzard has always delivered without fail.

This may appear similar to TF2 at first glance, due to the artstyle, but I can already tell that it will be nothing like TF2. TF2 is a class-based FPS. This on the other hand is a FPS MOBA. There is a great deal of unsymmetrical combat between the two sides, as people can pick various heroes. I imagine that after launch, more heroes will also be added from time to time. TF2 on the other hand has only been adding more guns (and hats), without altering the number of classes.

All in all, it looks like a breath of fresh air in the MOBA genre, and is a lot more exciting than Heroes of the Storm.

Well, I enjoyed my time with the Evolve Alpha. Absolutely no bad behavior. Chivalry was also good.

It seems to me that whenever you have to pay for the game, it filters out most of the dickbags.

I shouldn't of put moba in my description, its not a moba.... it has character variaty and ultimate attacks like a moba, but its far closer to say... Team Fortress by the looks of things.

The gameplay looks so fucking good. Seriously. I'm trying not to get overhyped (pun semi-intended) but that gameplay trailer made me giddy.

There are so many characters/classes/champions, and they all look so unique and diverse! The sheer variety of gameplay promised in that trailer is what really excited me the most. Leave it to Blizzard to get me hyped about a game in a genre I'd considered too far gone for new ideas.

Can we have Starcraft Ghost yet?
