Blizzard announces Diablo 2: Resurrected! Coming to PC and consoles with cross progression and cross save!

Dannnnggg. I never got into Diablo back in the day (seemed boring). But having something like this on Switch would be great. Hopefully the port turns out ok (me thinks it will).

Wonder how 4 is going to be, crossplay? Hope not if it's the same as with diablo 3 where consoles are a shitfest because of offline mode while pc version been cheat free since launch

Diablo II is one of my favourite games, of course I'm getting this. Also can't wait for always online and constant disconnects.

If I buy it on my Xbox can I play it on my Switch?

Oh Diablo 2? Nah pass. I had plenty of fun with his game back in the day. Now there are better options for this type of gameplay.

@nintendoboy16: yeah I've actually been playing Civ 6 on-and-off the last few days Switching between the two. It's a great feature and exactly what could / should make the Switch such a special secondary device to own

Well, time to set a day aside off from work. This is going to be a day 1.

Well this is a must have. On PC of course.

I like the sound of ultrawide support and remastered sound.

I am however intrigued by how they plan to build a 3D game on top of a 2D game's base.

Times a changing

Times a changing bro diablo 1 and diablo 3 are way dumbed down compared to diablo 2 this isn't good work good at all on console like those 2 easy ones I don't play diablo on console I don't screw with doom on console or any PC games on console period. PC still exists times aren't changing PC has free online free everything PC i still king the time has not changed at all in fact PC is growing consoles are stagnating they aren't changing the PS2 is slim as hell the PS5 is giant behemoth things aint going well for the consoles they going the wrong way an thats that.

After warcraft 3 reforged and starcraft 1 remaster I have no plans to pick up any more blizzard remasters the times are changing i woulda picked up evey blizzard game day one no matter what your right the times have now changed.

Did you miss the part where I said bought Starcraft remastered hated it compared to the original and skipped war 3 reforged which is sitting at a 0 user score on metacritc? I'm not picking this game up so none if I want I can play the original. What class are you gonna play since im not playing one?

I know what you are saying. I had it with Blizzard products when they launched Diablo 3: that launch was a shitfest. It had lag in a singleplayer game, nobody could connect, the itemization was so bad that you could barely get any items for the class you were playing.

And does Blizzard deserve hate for WIII Reforged? Perhaps.

But you know I actually kinda liked it. It's just a 1:1 remaster with improved visuals. I like it that way because... Because well, I like Warcraft III.

Perhaps times need to be a changing and you need to give them another chance? Wouldn't want you to miss out on an excellent remaster because Blizzard sold you a crappy product once :)

Oh and sorceress. I always like how the magic spells look and feel! That'll be my first run.

So what is cross-progression, and is it different from cross-play?

I was really stoked by the fact this might have cross-play but I haven't read or heard of anything about that, and I've never heard of cross-progression before.

Cross progression lets you pick up where you left off on another platform. Start a game on PC, head out and continue on Switch, etc.

Not really something I'd use, but still a cool feature.

In general, the way cross-progression works in Diablo 2 Resurrected is not the same as cross-play. There’s no playing with your friends on different platforms.

Well that sucks. If any game cried out for cross-play, it'd be a co-op multiplayer dungeon crawler.

Played this back in the day 20 years with my best friend who has since moved away and had a family, would have been nice to play this with him.

I wonder how much effort it really takes to make games cross-play. I get why some might object in more competitive games but honestly with how well CoD Warzone has done cross-play I am hoping for more.

Curious how they will handle the Satanic imagery. Doubt Nintendo would be fine with it.

Never played this game so I’m excited for this.

I'm only excited for this because I know Diablo IV is coming. That's the way to do remasters if you're going to do them at all.

Will check it out for PC. If they fixed the loot system I'll definitely give it a full run and probably scoop up the Switch version as a side kick.

I'm very interested in this. I first played Diablo 2 in an internet cafe in Spain. Good times.

Loved Diablo 2 back in the day.

Even though I would be interested in this (which I'm not), I'm sure they'd put an insane price on it. I also don't want to support Blizzard Activision, as I find them terrible.

The Binding of Isaac is on Switch. That should make everything else an immediate ok.

This is the same company that made Warcraft 3 reforged BTW. They havent given any indication why we need to trust they will do justice to this remaster.
