Let's begin with PS4, GfK reveals that PS4 posted its most successful non-launch week in the UK. The machine saw bundles of under £200 fly off shelves, and it had an impact on the software charts, too. Popular bundles including Uncharted 4: A Thief's End saw that game return to No.8, while Driveclub makes a comeback at No.20 and Ratchet & Clank slides in at No.25

It comes as a boost to Sony's hardware, which has found itself in second space in recent months following the launch of Xbox One S. According to our sources, PS4 shifted 142,578 last week, which was 50,000 above Xbox One.

Well well well it seems lems ownage has reached nuclear proportions. Even in the few territories lems considered to be theirs this few months they are being slaughtered by a console that already has like 30 million more sold units than their beloved xbone. It's too early to call, but it's easy to see why losing a few months by small-ish margins in NA doesn't make Sony got into panic mode right away. The Rest of the World is so damn balanced towards the PS brand, that MS really don't have any chance of changing the course of the gen. Heck, last gen the X360 sold some 45 million consoles on NA alone (versus PS3's ~25 million or so). That's half (or over half, can't recall the final known numbers) of it's total sales, and still the PS3 managed to get on par when the dust settled.

MS needs to understand that yes, the NA market is likely the biggest one in the World, but it alone isn't enough. Europe and Asia can, as a whole, matter even more.

All that said, I wouldn't be too shocked to see MS win this BF. I think the NA deals were better on the Xbox side of things.

Totally agreed, and I think everyone but lems knows this. USA is big but it's only one country compared to the rest of the world.

Europe + Asia >>> US, when it comes to hardware sales. Sony may lose 3 or 4 months of NPD by lets say 50K but they make up for that in a week or two in Japan alone not to talk of the rest of Asia and Europe. Playstation is a worldwide brand while Xbox is a regional brand, lems need to understand this. Everywhere outside of UK and US Xbone isn't competitive at all, Playstation dominates the worldwide market.

What effect on sales did the PS4 Pro have? Last year they sold 139k, and this year 142k.

Pretty sure NA is at the very least two countries if not three or more. Canada+US+Mexico is traditionally considered North America. Sometimes the Caribbeans are also considered part of it along with other countries.

@iandizion713: Xbox lost November and December of 2016 so no it does not usually win. This isn't last generation. If the price is close the edge goes to PS4 and the prices were close. This November is gonna be close either way. Pro sales will probably be the difference and Sony will win.

I dont know about that. Xbox has some amazing deals. My friend bought one for $213 and i about hit the floor. His choices were Xbox One S for $213 or Xbox One for $199. I told him you gotta get the S bro. And he paid no taxes as it was a Military Store.

Then this dude bought Madden 17 and Battlefield 1 for $29.99 no tax. He was like, i feel like im getting a nice deal. I was like, dude, you just fackin robbed them.
